I know lots of people make fun of Ive for talking about how thin and how light the iPhone is....but I am really hoping the next iteration of IPhone X or whenever they go to next with the phones is lighter and thinner than the X. I keep preferring my 8 for relaxed phone surfing bc of it’s weight and thinness.

I wish the camera would be flush and not sticking out like a bulge.

@eyoungren would agree with you. But in order to do so, that means the iPhone have to be thicker to have the camera sit evenly with the casing. I’m not against the idea, as I’m more neutral, but we all know Apple is not in agreement.

I don’t mind the weight but would prefer it to be thinner. Don’t really care if there is a bulge or not.

Same here. Having to apply a case just so the device sits flat on a surface sucks. I’d rather have a slightly thicker device overall. Gained space can be used for courage and battery.

The camera sticking out has never bothered me. I use a very thin Sedio Surface case that allows me to set the phone down on it back or screen without any damage. The case give me enough grip I do not need to worry about it slipping out of my hands.
Case user! P-tah!!!! ;) :D

PS. My wife just got an Otterbox for her 6s.

I remember putting an Otterbox on one of my iPhones and it was hideous!

My hands seem to stay dry and the naked iPhone seems way to slippery for me.

Worst is I am a "holster user"!

It works for me:)
LOL!!! My wife is being heavily influenced by my 10 year old daughter who farts glitter and sneezes rainbows.

Consequently the case my wife chose is a clear case with glittery sparkly bits all over the back and sides.

OMG!!!!

10 year old daughters can be very influential! As a proud grandfather I know these kids can rip your heart out!

I so wish I could use my devices naked but I drop them all the time. I see kids using iPads without cases... and I'm jealous. I dropped my iPad Pro yesterday. Seems to escaped damage. Phew!

The camera sticking out doesn't bother me.

I use all my devices caseless.

They are pretty durable.

Because the phones are pretty damn slippery on their own they seem to be built for cases, hence the protruding camera.

I can see wanting less weight but I think the iPhone X is a really good size now. Less thickness does not generally improve how the device feels to hold.

I have shattered my 8 front twice and the back once.. so I have used up all my apple care there. I haven't used my X naked. But based upon my performance with my 8...I don't think I can be trusted;).

Totally agree, coming from the iPhone 6, it was the lightest phone from the 6 design, and the thinnest of all iPhones.

Don’t think they are the same.
The amount of times my x slipped of the table or the couch face first onto hardwood or marble is insane... I’m genuinely surprised.

Peak iPhone thinness ended at iPhone 6. It has gotten incrementally thicker and heavier ever since.
The bummer about the glass back (thicker) & stainless steel band is it adds more weight (compared to all aluminum). If you've ever held a iPhone 6 Plus in one hand and a iPhone 8 plus in the other- the difference in weight is striking.
