The difference in speed is around that of moving from an iPad 8 with A12 to an iPad 9 with A13... If you compare side by side you'll see the (slight) difference, nothing "incredible". Some posts seem to be more trolling than real (like the "videos stream so fast" etc.) or maybe it's just placebo effect, but I tend to think it's the first option... 😉

Hi MR,

First, I am huge apple head and unlike the general consensus, I really appreciate and I am completely enjoying the new M2 iPad Pro. It is definitely more snappy, loads even faster and a much more refined product. Do not get me wrong, I really enjoyed the M1 iPad Pro, it is still a fantastic piece of tech.

The reason why I writing this is because the M2 received such poor reviews and "hate" towards the product for not having any additional revolutionary changes made to an already great product. We are basically comparing (for all the care people) a Lamborghini SV to a Lamborghini SVJ. Both great cars, they look the same, have the same engine, single clutch transmission, and the SVJ has minor changes that separates it completely from the SV, just like the M2 to the M1 iPad Pro.

Bottomline, the M2 iPad Pro is better than the M1 iPad Pro. I upgraded and I love it and I appreciate it and it is one badass iPad. For anyone that is on the fence, you will not be disappointed.

All the best.

Eh, no, it's not "definitely more snappy". I tried out the M2 12.9" and compared to my M1 11" there was no discernible difference in performance. None.

Nor is it "a more refined product". It's the same product, with the new chip. What is more "refined" about that?

It's good that Apple put the latest chip in, but you really have to be smoking something special to claim it's worth the upgrade for almost anyone, or that it's somehow more refined or noticeably faster.

And finally, to your claim that someone upgrading from the M1 to the M2 won't be disappointed? Just no. For such a minor upgrade, I wouldn't be making that claim.

You are wrong. I did the same and it’s incredible how much betterer/ faster it is running high-intensive apps and games.

Come on, no it's not. It's not even noticeable, let alone "incredible". You just want it to be "incredible" so you can justify the incredible amount of money you spent to upgrade.

The M2 is worth the money over a discounted M1, but you have to do some serious mental gymnastics to claim it's worth an upgrade from the M1.

If you are someone who just wants the latest no matter what and always upgrades, then sure, enjoy, but let's not pretend there is some incredible difference between the two.
