I have a 20" C2D iMac and Limewire crashed frequently, so I tried AcquistionX and experienced similar problems. I recently switched to Xtorrent and I love it, no problems whatsoever and its nice because I can download full files/cds instead of single songs.

+1 for Xtorrent

That is weird. I've never had AcqX crash. Though there was a Java problem once and it would not connect. That was caused by an Apple update and it was fixed the same day.

Forgot to add earlier that AcquisitionX actually works with .torrent files too! Very handy but I just use Transmission.

Thanks for the comments. Are you guys sure NOTHING will happen to my mac and nothing bad will happen to it. Sorry i'm so picky, i just don't want anything to go wrong. Thanks!

NOTHING will happen to your Mac when using Limewire, but Acquisition is better and I paid for mine. Really worth it.

I am planning on getting a Mac Mini for Christmas, and i was wondering if limewire on a mac is able to get viruses? The last time i used kazaa my whole computer crashed. People that use limewire on their macs, is it safe to use? And can i save it onto an external hard drive so i can for sure not get any viruses on my Mac Mini?

Thank you,
TyPod

Nah your not going to get a virus...but still, just be careful on what you download.

the program you use won't matter

its just a fact that there are no real threatening viruses in the wild for osX
