I'm a big Apple fan, former employee and owner of everything Apple usually but I have held off on the Watch. And I've been accused lately of saying too many negative things. Some people however really need to lighten up and not take people's comments too seriously.
On another note, I only wear watches with link metal bands and I like the weight of them. When I first saw the link and the pricing I was turned off by it. Then on launch day I tried it on. And I really liked the feel of it. It is a little plain and does look a bit like the Casio stretch bands. But it is very nice without a doubt. I prefer the staggered style of Tag bands. Today I tried it on again and without asking and because they were slow the guy at the store actually sized it for me whereas before they put it on without taking any links out. At first he did it tighter but I explained that I wear it a bit loose on my wrist like a bracelet. So he added a link back in. He also was nice enough to switch the strap positions on the sport and classic bands as I wear it on my right hand (I'm a lefty). I'm just having a hard time convincing myself to spend $1,050 since I know I need a sport band too for certain activities. I also am bummed because I could get the 42 SS with BSB sooner and then add the link band when and if I want to spend the rest. But the AppleCare only extends a second year to the band that originally comes with the watch. So if you want your link band covered for two years with your watch under the AC plan, you have to order the link model.
