Who had that 3DFX card that came with an external power supply just before the company tanked and sold its patents to Nvidia?
That was the Voodoo 5 6000. It was never officially released but plenty of pre production units are out there. Basically it was four VSA-100 chips stuck together on a single board and running in SLI. This was before the standardized internal graphics power connectors existed, so they opted for an external power supply to make things easy.

I've most of the cards listed here, but I can't believe I'm the only one to use Trident so far. Oops, never mind, I see someone else DID list Trident.

Also were the;

Hercules Graphics Card
IBM Color Graphics Adapter
IBM Enhanced Color Graphic Adapter

Too many to list but a couple of them stand out because I haven't seen them posted yet:

Creative Labs 3D Blaster
Canopus Pure3D

Canopus was an interesting company. They took existing company's hardware, redesigned it, and packaged it with faster drivers. The Pure3D was an improved Voodoo2, and I think they had another one that was an improved Nvidia TNT.

Canopus is still around but now they're called Grass Valley. I still occasionally use my Canopus ADVC 100, great product, especially back when it first came out.

How do you people even remember this stuff! There's some very detailed lists of some really old cards.

I didn't even remember I had a Matrox Millenium until I saw it in the first post.

My first card was some sort of CGA card in a 286 or maybe an IBM XT clone.
