OK now, let's see

Stanza app before iOS 4 --> worked perfectly

Stanza app after iOS 4 --> whole app crashes upon opening a book.

Stanza app after today's update --> app fully works now.

Other apps that CRASH (not "do not take advantage of iOS 4 APIs") upon use with iOS 4 listed in this thread: Photoforge, Weatherbug Elite, Numba, Sony Pictures, SimplyTweet, FaceCall+.

Are you really this dense in real life?

LOL! The OP did not mention Stanza. Scroll down (up now) and you will notice that the OP's Beejive now works. Hmmm. Flame me back all you want, but I commented on the OP's apps, not yours and not anyone else's. I am far from dense my friend, but you sir...

An update to my earlier post - after talking to the developer, Numba does work, deleting and reinstalling solved the problem. Excellent support.

iPod App Crashing

I have upgraded to iOS 4.0. This morning I bought a new song on iTunes, and since then my iPod application crashes everytime I start it. I have tried re-booting the phone.

Is anyone else having a similar issue?

Sqaureball is no playable... the menu screen comes up and everthing but once you get into the game the game places the "squareball" out side of the level giving you instant kills until the game is over.

Update to my earlier post... Facecall+ patch was released thru an update in iTunes last night and its working perfectly now.

My first impression was most of my apps simply crash or hang up after updating to ios4.

Popular apps are getting updated quickly which is nice, however I have a few apps that I paid for that I don't believe will be updated anytime soon if at all. So I am out of luck...

The original Qik Video app being one of them...

Two so far I have tried that either immediately crash back to the home screen or show their initial screen for a second and then crash are:

Football Live!

I do have many apps I have yet to try.

In my case I'm using a 3Gs upgraded to iOS4.

I'm having issues with the native iPod app. I have a 3GS upgraded to iOS 4. I bring up the iPod app and about 3-5 seconds later it closes. I've restarted my iPhone to no avail.

Anyone else having this issue?

Also, I just tried playing a song from the PlayNow and about 3-5 seconds later the song stops. The iPod app stays in the "task manager" even after automatically quitting on me.

Fatsecret works but crashes on the scanner tool about 50% of the time. A reinstall fixed it for a while but the problem returned.

This is true for me as well. Fortunately, it's the only app of mine that stopped working after the 4.0. upgrade. Also, I went to the iTunes Store and EA does acknowledge this issue. So, I'm expecting a fix any day now.

Just upgraded to 4.0.1 and now I'm able to use the iPod app. Cool beans.
