OK, I've got too much time on my hands...But, over the years I've owned so many handheld devices, I thought it would be cool to list them out now that I own the best handheld ever. Let's see your list.

1998 Apple Newton MessagePad 100 (OMP)
1999 Apple Newton MessagePad 130: backlight screen and enough heap to run TCP/IP stack

2000 Apple Newton MessagePad 2100: awesome machine, with keyboard

2000 Tandy Zoomer: GEOS with Grafitti software, before Palm made hardware

2000 Texas Instruments Avigo PDA: Palm look-a-like
1999-2001 Palm V, Palm Vx, Handspring Visor Prism, Compaq iPaq: these were all purchased by my employer for work.

2002 Sony Clie N-610: color hi-res screen on Palm OS
2004 Sony Clie TJ25

2004 Sony Clie TH55: best pure PDA ever. WiFi, hi-res+, virtual Grafitti, Clie Organizer software with drag & drop.

2007 Apple iPhone: best handheld ever. Phone/internet/iPod.

Treo 300
Sharp Zaurus
Palm Tungsten C
Treo 650
TMO Sidekick
BlackBerry Pearl
iPhone

iPhone wins hands down as my favorite.

Palm III
Palm IIIxe (after someone stole my Palm III)
Sony Clie T615C.
Sony Clie PEG-TH55.

I stopped bothering after that because I tended to use my cellphone/iPod more often to get calendars/address book stuff.

My iPhone is on order. ;)

I've had an ipaq 1940, a tapwave zodiac, a blackberry 7250, a blackberry 8703e, and now the iphone. Now if only I could get a few real games on the iphone I'd be a happy camper.

PDA's:

Palm III
Palm Vx
Sony Clie PEG-N710C

Mobile Phones:

Sony T68i
Sony T610
Motorola V600
Motorola RAZR

I always wanted an integrated device. I have tried/considered devices, like:

Kyocera 7135 (eek)
Sony P800/P900
Motorola A768i
Motorola A780
Motorola A1200
Palm Treo

Losers all. Now, I carry and iPhone. :)

Treo 650

BlackBerry 8700

Audivox SMT5600

It's funny because even though the other phones had 3G, I never used the internet on them because it was terrible.. The supposedly "crippled" iPhone with Edge really does the internet much better , IMO..

Each phone had it's share of strengths and weaknesses, but so far I prefer the iPhone over the others- even though it's definitely NOT perfect..

All w/ Sprint:
Samsung i330
Samsung i500
Treo 650
PPC 6601
PPC 6600
PPC 6700
Treo 700wx
Treo 700p
BB 7130e
BB 8703e

**iPhone**

I'm selling my BB stock based on this thread

5 out of 8 former BB owners so far.

I guess I count myself to make it 6 out of 9.

The only reason that I had one is because the company I'm working for this summer gives one to all of their interns. I'd imagine that I might still use a BlackBerry when I get into the workforce, unless Apple (or Visto for that matter) create a workable alternative.

i had a palm pilot. i can't remember which model it was, but i think it was the second iteration. i also had a palm m515 before i gave up on pdas altogether. too much of a hassle. i just want my contacts, calendars and email with me. i don't need the ability to edit documents so much, so the iphone suits me just fine.

Zodiac, nice. I always wanted one of those but never got around to getting one. Oh well, I've got my iPhone now

It was awesome for playing nes, snes, and gameboy games. Great pda but I really never got used to the Palm OS so much. It was a lifesaver though when my ipod mini died for those long walks on campus a few years ago.

It ceases to amaze me why some of you folks would want to "chop" Apples phone and turn it into some frequently crashing, hacked up excuse for a handheld.
