Lion and Mountain Lion are different beasts from all previous OSs. Given that we all concurr that Snow Leopard is the best OS X ever, ML is now pretty stable and quite good.

I switched reluctantly and kept for a while using both OSs (10.6 and 10.8) in two separate HDs.

Now I am on ML 99% of the time and I am quite happy. There are some preferences that let you configure ML to behave more similar to 10.6 than to iOs, but it is true that Apple is still considering whether to move towards a complete iOSification or continuing with this weird mix of OS and iOS.

Personally the only reason why I switched is because of iCloud and the calendar, did not want to switch to Google and did not want to try those unsupported setting to get Snow Leopard work with iCloud.

The only "iOS" type of feature I use in OS X is Mission Control, even then Exposé was good enough too.

ML is a very solid OS. Reminds me of Snow Leopard, which was very solid.

Mountain Lion maybe "Snow Leopard" of Lion, but no where can it comes NEAR to Snow Leopard.... GPU memory leak is so bad, that I have to logout and login back again to flush them, else my BOINC GPU app errors out my WUs due to insufficient GPU memory.

Don't even get me started with physical RAM...:eek:

Even SL had wicked bad RAM issues- Leopard was significantly better with it.

Too bad my MBP cannot run Leopard with it...

Somehow I feel that 2010 MBPs are better off running Snow Leopard than either Lion or Mountain Lion... Seemed to be optimised to run on these great machines...

ML-mixed bag. Love the ease of throwing something up on TV via airplay. Hate the "Social Network" integration.

Yeah, 10.1 was no picnic, but why limit to OSX? 8.5 really sucked, unstable, conflicts, etc. 6.0.3 also seemed particularly buggy, but only in retrospect.
