Live Location Find My

Does she move in real time though or does it update very minute or more? She has the green pulsating background around her location? If so, what version of iOS are you both on?

moves in real-time for everyone in my family; walking in a building, driving, its scary accurate. I go into FindMy select one of them and (as long as they have cellular or WiFi coverage) it will change to the pulsating green "live" icon on them

Everyone is on 17.2.1 but even when I was on 17.2.1 and they were on 17.2 and earlier (I am the nagging voice of update yo 💩, ) it still worked like this

The worst is when Find My indicates that it's showing live updates (along with the animation) but the person has "stopped" completely on a highway and doesn't move anymore so it looks like they were in a car accident.

This bug is my biggest gripe on 17.2.1, everything else is working great for me. Hopefully it get fixed quickly!

Updated to 17.3 (final release, non-beta) on all our devices but Find My live updates are still not working .

1 out of 10 times, it'll do live updates for about 10 seconds, then the person "stops" completely in the middle of the road even though Find My is animating live location. So I have no idea if they wrecked unless I check the car's app to see if their car is actually moving or not.

Mine seems to be working now with public release of 17.3.

Try this. Go to an iMessage of the person and tap on their photo at the top. The center of the screen should have their location. See if it comes up Live for you in there.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it but, unfortunately, I get the same results (rarely shows live and it's live, sometimes showing not live and it's not live, sometimes showing it's live but it's not live).
