Live text not working

Thanks all. Maybe as noted above perhaps it is a service side switch. I know it’s not my phone because it does not work in the UK. And of course it would work in the United States without saying. I do hope it is enabled for everybody come full release.

I should add, that live text has always worked, it’s just visual lookup that does not work unless I set my phone to US.

That explains everything! I just updated to iOS 15 and tried Live Text, but it didn’t work. I was about to embark on a “Reset All Settings” adventure when I came across your post. Pulled the switch and it works perfectly! Thanks!!

I went into language and region in the settings and saw that the Live text was not enabled. I didn't know that I needed to enable this feature. Many thanks for the tip!

Live Text now works for me in the Camera app, but I still can’t use it for photos in the Photos app.

But did you have the Live text enabled in language and region? Then you should see a option for that in your camera.

I have live text enabled in language and region as well as in my camera, I do not, however, get to set a list of prefered languages in the languages and regions-section. I do have both english and swedish keyboards enabled. So that’s not the problem either.

Just moved to a new town here so little stressed, but this is the solution: Have to manually turn it on under Language & region in Settings, "Live Text" - all at the bottom.

Thanks! Brilliant feature this when you are forced into working on a Windows computer at work and just quickly want to scan and call numbers on the screens, so very nice this..

I have a problem with Live Text, when I had version 13.0.1 it worked perfectly but now that I have 13.1 it doesn't work for me (I have maOS Ventura with Opencore) do I have to activate it? or does it come by default
