I vote both, you obviously seem quite excited at the prospect of using an iPad for teaching, but are worried if it will be enough.

Take them both, try it with the iPad, if it isn't working out, use the MBP. Can't you leave the MBP at your apartment?

Here's the thing. Last time I was there, about 3 years ago...the company that brought a bunch of us out there split people up into different areas in Japan. The issue was that some people got placed in crappy apartments, while a friend and I that time got placed in a really nice hotel. 3 years ago I was living in a hotel that was incredibly nice with WiFi, buffet, the works. But other's 2 miles down the road were stuck in a place with beds that resembled more as hammocks. It's the luck of the draw, though i've explained to my manager that since I've already done the program once before in the past to not screw me over and place me in the same accomodations again.....plus i'm bringing along an extra friend to help out w/ the teaching, kinda waving it in their face that i'm supplying an extra teacher for their program.
