Upgraded to Version 15.2 (24C100) today with the hope that this would be fixed, and was disappointed to find that it wasn't.

When searching a local music library with column browsing shown, the main window shows filtered results, but the subordinate columns (Artist, Album, Genre etc) do NOT show filtered results.
For example: I could search for "Peter Gabriel" and all results containing that combination of letters will show in the main window, but the album window no longer shows results whittled down to the fifteen albums I have ripped to my drive.

God, I wish they would fix this!

I came here to find news about this.
Seems like the numbers of old-school users like us is too low for apple to give a ****.

The old guiding rule was wait for about the .2 update before embracing a new OS X generation.
The new guiding rule is wait for about the .5 or .6 update- around WWDC- before embracing a new macOS generation.

The first few points are modern-day beta and the early adopters are the beta testers. Look around at the many "_______ is not working right/broken/etc" threads here and all over the web. Then- later this year- remember this when macOS 16 is ready to install and proceed with caution... or wait for a less buggy macOS 16 version in about Summer-Fall 2026. More simply: opt out of being a wide release beta tester.

macOS generations tend to clean up the new messes by about .5 or .6... though some bugs wait for generational changes or several generations. For example, 5 generations now and I'm still waiting for the bugs associated with this problem to be addressed...

Still waiting. I miss "just works" Apple.
