I love how Logitech made their keyboard case compatible with both the M4 and M2 and earlier iPad Pros, but Apple didn't. So even more so that they broke compatibility purely in software to force a new Magic Keyboard purchase. That's a shame.

For the larger model at least, you have to select which model you own when purchasing. The 13" is a thinner device than the 12.9", and so the cases aren't interchangeable.

I knew that Logitech would get around to this as soon as possible. Given I may get the new iPad Air 12.9" 512 GB, having a matching Logitech keyboard case was a must.

I have one for my M2 Pro - the first one I had suffered from the warping near the speaker cutouts. This one has been redesigned and is holding up alright so far.

Love being able to use without the keyboard...wouldn't mind getting this for my inbound M4 Pro but will wait and try to catch it on sale. $230 is too much.
I am going to wait and see if the price drops, eventually. Seems overpriced and I love the one on my M1 12.9, other than the weight.

I have the version from 2021 and the rubber stretched like crazy (especially near the ports) in the summer heat. It looks absolutely horrendous and seems to be fairly common. Ended up cutting the excess and gluing it together. And it’s stretched out again. They say mass cannot be created or destroyed but when it comes to this keyboard, it’s an exception!

Logi seems to have issues with quality these days as their mice have been plagued for years with the double click issue.

Meanwhile the original apple magic keyboard was a finger print magnet
Mine did the same within 6 months of owning it. The speaker holes stretched out so I had it replaced under warranty twice. Logitech came out with a new design that had small holes like a speaker grill, but that tore instead of stretched. Never will buy this product again.

These prices arent even really competitive... does logitech think because apple raised their pricing on their new pro lineup they need to follow suit? I am half debating on buying the apple one now because of how stupidly priced this is..

(I want the detachable keyboard... but at that price for a 3rd party accessory? thats nuts...
Logitech produces plenty of accessories that are better than Apple's original ones - mice and keyboards being some examples, as well as some high quality webcams.

Agreed, and it’s still cheaper than Apple’s less versatile option by a significant amount.

I just don’t want to put my iPad in a case just to use a keyboard. There are so many magnets in the iPad. Please, companies, use these magnets instead of building ugly cases.

I prefer a case since it protects the iPad and logitech‘s kickstand makes it easier to prop it up when the keyboard is detached. It’s the main reason I don’t like the Magic Keyboard.

I have had the Combo Touch for years with my older pros and it has held up great. The shining star for me is the keyboard. I type much faster on it. I also like to use pen at times so the AMK was right out for me, since they seem to forget about the Apple Pencil modality.

I was happy to see the version for the M4 IPP's and I purchased one from my local Apple Store for my incoming IPP M4 13in. They had them in stock and I am picking it up today.

These cases got a bad rep early on, but they fixed a lot of the things that caused problems like the speaker holes. IMO this is the best keyboard available for the iPad and should have been the design Apple put out. Also their support is fantastic. They replaced one of my early keyboards outside of warranty as a good will gesture. Bottom line, I love the combo case.

Edit:

Just picked it up. There is nothing on the box that indicates it's for the M4 13, however it is the new aluminum design on the outside, and the product ID matches up with what is on their website. My guess is that it had to have it be generic as to not give away Apples upcoming iPads before the keynote, allowing them to ship it early. This thing is REALLY thin. The case part is quite flexible which seems right, since it will rely on the iPad for rigidity. The new materials are nice. Less textile like, and more Aluminum and heavy duty soft touch plastics with hard TPU surrounds. Now to see how it fits the iPad this coming week when it comes in.

Yep, I ordered both, and now plan to return the apple magic keyboard, because the last thing I want to use is a 'naked' ipad when it's not attached.

Popular accessory maker Logitech this week announced new keyboard case options that are designed for Apple's iPad Air and iPad Pro models, offering an alternative to the more expensive Magic Keyboard options from Apple.

The Logitech Combo Touch is compatible with both sizes of the iPad Air and the two thin and light iPad Pro models. Logitech says that the Logitech Combo Touch is its lightest keyboard to date, improving portability and limiting the bulk added to a tablet setup.

The Combo Touch comes with a detachable keyboard and flexible kickstand for multiple use modes. It can be used for typing in the standard keyboard mode, or folded in a way that allows for sketching, reading, and Apple Pencil use.

There is a multi-touch trackpad, which Logitech says offers intuitive and precise input and navigation. There are auto-backlit keys in a standard layout with sixteen brightness levels. Shortcut keys allow easy access to volume control, media playback, screenshots, and more, plus there is a Smart Connector for connectivity so there's no need for Bluetooth.

The Combo Touch for the 11-inch iPad Air is $200, while the Combo Touch for the 13-inch model is $230. The iPad Pro versions are priced at $230 and $260, respectively, for the 11-inch and 13-inch models. The keyboards can be purchased from the Logitech website.

I rate this as GARBAGE. As was the "support". Fine for warranty period of 1 YEAR ONLY! , then rubber rots at 12 months, buckles. Cuttings in rubber case for 4 speaker outlets buckle, and 4 ‘ears’ now getting worse.. Design floor as per many others also reviewing on the net, a common problem. And hopeless BOT chat support from Logitech. For the price, really poor build quality. Logitech Support a waste of time. Told over the phone, tough luck. As my expectation for this hardware to last over a year, was apparently unrealistic. DO NOT BOTHER !

Dang, that stinks. For the record I have one on my 11” Pro Gen 3 since about day 1. I have very small bumps on 3 of the 4 speaker holes, nothing like you show. I do feel for you, however for the record mine has worked great over the years.
