Same in the UK - I purchased the ipad one here, not realising it's the ipad one! I don't know what the advantage is over the other one though. But given I would only use with my ipad, I don't think it matters.

There will be some difference in the button assignments when you are using it with non-Apple systems. Windows on Mac keyboard will treat CMD key as “Start”, while the hybrid version will map “Start” to OPT key in a location where most Windows users will expect, for example. Won’t really matter if you use it only within Apple hardware/software environment.
