Thank you...:) It's not ideal, I have only a MBP, and need to sync my 2 iPod classics to get music I have purchased from the iTune store, rather than storing my music in the cloud it is stored on my computer.
Classics are well classic;) Without WiFi your choices are few. Classic iPod design predates any cloud music offering. WiFi makes it easy to use match. I'm confused your music is stored on your MBP already? Have you selected automatic downloads under preferences-store?

I had all my music stored on my MBP and then deleted all the music to the iCloud to free up some space on it.

My iPod classics (Superb devices by the way) were pre loaded before I deleted all the albums from my MBP. They are left mostly in mine and my wife's car, they stayed there for some time. After purchasing some other album, I bought them in to sync and add the new albums, it would only do so if I transferred all the music back from my iPods back to my MBP (iTunes has found purchased items on your iPod that are not on your MBP etc) In the end it was just easier to download from iCloud back to my MBP and allow syncing as normal. I hope this rambling makes some sense. :)
