I was talking to a couple of sellers at the Smithsonian Craft Show in Washington DC a couple weeks ago who no longer make felt handbags. Their customers said one drop of water and the bag acted like a sponge.

Harber London do a number of sleeves where where the outside of the sleeve is just leather (not felt, and no zip) and these are excellent quality

I actually just googled about wool felt and it's pretty impressive! I now understand why is so popular..

I don't doubt the expertise of the Smithsonian Craft sellers but unanimously almost everywhere I read everyone say is water resistant among other good properties..

Anyway, I do like the sleeve from Etsy that you brought up and don't really know what the Smithsonians have anything to do with it appart from the felt which is according to a lot of people actually water repellent? I would give it a thumbs up quite honestly and do share the same opinion as well about Ballistic Nylon that Mr. C mentioned, but what I read about ballistic nylon is that if you leave it under the sun for too long it looses resistance, but I couldn't find much info about it tbh..

Anyway thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences!

Will order that sleeve probably just for the sake of checking why you hate it so much hahahaha cheers! :D

Hi Caitre_90

Like I responded above to tgara, the sleeves I purchased were the all leather ones (on the outside) :)

I've no doubt you'll love the sleeves, and in the unlikely event that there is a problem the customer service from Caroline is fantastic.

I have the icarer vintage leather case for ipad pro 9.7, they also do one for the ipad pro 12.9.
It is the best case i have used and feel similar to the apple iphone leather cases. It is 35 pounds here in the uk from amazon. It protects and have the auto wake and sleep. Highly recommended!

Vaja makes premium leather cases. I have Vaja agenda case on my 6s plus and plan to order a case for my IPP 9.7.

Vaja just sent me a newsletter with 20% discount code 'dad'. Their Pro Libretto with detachable smart cover looks perfect IMO. Joke is, the orange color (easily the nicest) they advertise in their newsletter is "sold out".

I thought they produce their cases on order but it looks like they ran out of orange cows.

Terrible case. My friend have this for his 12.9" iPad Pro.
Im not sure you know entirely what you're talking about. Kavaj has three Styles of cases, the Hamburg is the one I prefer instead of London. The Hamburg has magnetic closure and I had one for my Air and Air 2. I like the multi angle stand, though I've become less wild about the border. I do like a clean face now.

They are very well designed and the leather is the furthest thing from cheap imaginable. I had cognac in both versions and it was gorgeous. You could immediately tell a world of difference between it and other cheaper leather. Just the smell alone was captivating - you know when you have some nice leather when it has the deep rich scent. I used leather conditioner on mine and it had this beautiful dusky glow.

Their customer service was out of this world. They called me up on my cell from Germany to make sure I was happy with my case and replaced both my Air and Air 2 cases for very minor imperfections. None of this cross shipping crap - they gave me a code for free one and said keep the other as our apology for the hassle. Honestly one of the best companies I ever dealt with.

And no I was never a free reviewer. I gladly paid top dollar for their cases.

Could you elaborate? What's so bad about it? Was thinking of getting one.
Take a look at the Hamburg. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0151MCGX0?psc=1

Their cases aren't meant to be terribly protective but Definitely fine craftsmanship and thin like a glove.
