If you need a phone now get the Nokia 6682, it kicks a**. It can run just about anything you could want, considering it runs the lastest Series 60 OS. It also has a GREAT camera, bluetooth, SD Card, EDGE, and has a sleek metal design. Seriously you are not going to find a better phone out there, unless it's a PDA/Blackberry.

If you can wait 6 monthes, get the Nokia N80. It is a slider, but is classy and elegant. It has a great 3mp camera, WiFi, better S60 OS, bluetooth, WCDMA/UMTS, and is quadband.

So yeah those are my recomendation. If you are looking for some good reviews check out Phonescoop.com or howardforums.com

Any recommendations on where to buy phones? I'm on a Cingular family plan right now, but my contract is up. It doesn't seem like places that offer huge rebates (amazon) will work with such an upgrade, so I feel like I either have to buy from Cingular directly or buy an unlocked version. Is this correct?
