probably a dumb question but how do you close Beejive to receive push notifications?

I thought pressing the home button will do, but i realized thats not the case.

Can someone help me out?

I tried everything but im still not getting any push notifications. I only get notifications whenever i click on Beejive but non when im away from Beejive.

That is how it works on my phone.

I close the app, and then I get push notifications when people chat with me.

From home screen:

Click on Settings Icon

Click on Beejive

All the way at the bottom, there is a setting called Session Timeout.

What is this set to please?

My AIM looks to be ok again, but Yahoo is dead.

I would try their support.

They respond to emails.

I just know I tested it about an hour ago:

1) Opened Beejive. (Computer logged me out of Yahoo)

2) Sent someone a message.

3) Pressed the home button.

When they responded, I got a push notification.

Interesting thing is, I just tested it again. My phone vibrated and I got the pop up message on my screen even though the phone was locked, but the phone did not ring or make a sound.

I am not 100% convinced that the notification part is all on BeeJive.

My AIM looks to be ok again, but Yahoo is dead.

I just got a Yahoo IM 1 minute ago on my BeeJive.

I haven't been able to get on Yahoo for 2 days.... and that is with Adium on my Mac! LOL!!!

It seriously isn't doing anything - just trying to connect, no error messages or anything. I'm still getting my group emails, so i'm assuming my account/pw hasn't been hacked.

I just thought i'd throw that out there - that a non-yahoo client can't connect to it either. Guess i really should go try to make it work....

Mine is blank and has no option to add one. I did also loose the one for MSN but there was an option to add it back.

yep same here, I guess they'll bring out another update soon.

I also had problems logging into yahoo but it's working again now.

the beejive servers are down for facebook. There was a load issue with the facebook. They have turned it off so far. they have this reported on there support page

Oh. And I was wondering why I wasnt getting any push alerts. I rarely use the IMs and only hooked on to FaceBook as most of my friends/family is also using it. Hope they fix it soon.

Yes, but my Facebook has been signing out quite a bit on Adium as well, so i don't think that is all Beejive either. My AIM is back to normal, so it looks like Facebook and Yahoo are the problems.. but as others have said, I'm having problems with both of them on Adium too, so i don't think it's a Beejive problem as much as it is a Yahoo/Facebook problem in general.
