I believe so…

But I think the issue is the OP is under the impression that there will be new iPad Pro announced this year… yet, rumors indicate that no new models will be released this year.
Well i mean if that's the case it's rather silly to upgrade every year

Not even talking about ecology or money, but with apple next year iteration is usually meaningly, with very few cases excluded

What I would love to see in a future iPad Pro...!
  • 14" or 16" iPad Pro (Studio?)
  • M3 Pro SoC / 48GB RAM / 4TB SSD
  • 120Hz ProMotion OLED (MicroLED?) display
  • Support for external display (up to 32" 6K 120Hz ProMotion)
  • Support for Apple Mixed Reality Headset (concurrent with external display)
  • Latest iPhone Pro cameras / sensors
  • Front camera(s) in Landscape orientation
  • Apple Pencil 3.0
  • Magic Keyboard 3.0 (actual edge protection / multiple TB4 ports / 3.5mm smart impedance audio out jack / secure Apple Pencil storage)
  • iPadOS / macOS (Lite?)
  • Final Cut Pro / Logic Pro / Xcode
  • Affinity Suite / Procreate
  • Blender / Octane X
  • World of Warcraft / GTA6

Still using my 2018 iPad Pro. Been thinking of getting a mini 6 so that I can bring out to Starbucks
That’s what I have. Still using a 2018 11” Pro at home, and I have a mini 6 when I go out. I’ve been feeling an itch to upgrade for a while but I can’t seem to pull the trigger since mine still works so well. And now with rumors of an OLED iPad next year, I’m holding out until then and hoping that actually happens.

From the rumors, there will be no “must have” feature on the upcoming iPads. Unless something happens, I will be happy for an additional year of use as it is less than a year old and the battery is still outstanding.

‘’’How many will upgrade later this year?
What would you consider a "must have" feature on an iPad? If your iPad is less than a year old, then I'd say the expectation of being blown away by a new model is more than likely an exercise in futility.

I will upgrade when either (a) my current third generation 12.9" stops working or (b) a 14" or larger iPad comes out or (c) they come out with a version where the pencil feels more natural when writing.

Short of Apple figuring out a good way to run MacOS smoothly on the iPad without the obvious complications, I don't foresee upgrading my M1 for several years. I'm fine with MiniLED so not even OLED is a compelling reason.

If you know what iPads are "upcoming" and when, you're ahead of most of us. At this point, we don't know what Apple will do with the iPad.

I am excited for the future of gaming on the iPad. The iPhone 15 provided a sneak peak for iPads and Macs. I would love to play a native ARM Crysis or GTA 5 at ultra quality on a MacBook Air 15 or iPad Pro at a high frame rate.
You stole the words out of my mouth….🤣 I am in total agreement! Can’t wait for next gen iPad Pros!!
