Depends on how they'd pull it off. I wouldn't pay for it, but if there's a Bluray option with the whole thing on disc that plays itself back in order - yea.

Edit: To each his own on TV shows, obviously, but thank God ER is ending this month...

Aw, c'mon. I like ER, and I've been watching it since the very first season. I don't think that it outstayed its welcome like the other shows you mentioned. The writers did a really good job at keeping it fresh.

I do wish Arrested Development had a few more seasons under its belt though. I think Fox 'made a huge mistake' canceling that show.

If the creators don't do it, I'm sure someone out there will end up putting all of the Lost segments into chronological order.

Didn't Memento do this on the DVD also? I don't know if Lost would be that fun in chronological order. It's a great series, and I'm enjoying it thoroughly, but I kind of agree that it shouldn't outlive its welcome.

The problem with Lost being the hundreds of hours of footage spread over lots of discs.
And I had no idea Memonto had a 'linear' version, guess that happens if you watch it on TV only  might have to rent that now.

Yeah, watching Memento in the right order is really cool. I think it would be the same deal w/ LOST. I would deff dedicate a weekend to that. oh maaannnn that would be sweet.

Good episode, not great. I don't really have anything else to say, just super excited for what's to come. I'm thinking Smokey is somehow involved with the taking of Ben's innocence. That or Jacob... we know Jacob doesn't allow people to have cancer so he seems to have some kind of power.

Next week looks like it's going to be trés intense, but I just remembered I'll be at a concert  I'm going to have to stay up until I can download it on iTunes sdl;fndgnsadkgjd.

so that was the plan all along to have jack not help him but have Richard and co take his innocence. shoulda seen it coming.

Perhaps if they never came back, Ben would have never become an other.

Did you guys hear one of the others say to Richard "You're going to take the boy without consulting Ellie? What will Charles say?" or something to that effect? Pretty interesting stuff!

Oh and the scene when Richard was walking with Ben's limp body down to the temple was pretty cool. I hope we eventually find out what kind of crazy stuff happens down there.

And oh yeah, I'm as big a LOST fan as they come, but I could really care less about the Kate/Sawyer/Juliet/Jack love story line going on. It has no relevance to the plot (at least the cool parts of the plot) - it's wasting time that could be used to show Richard, Horace and Sawyer having a sweet battle royale on top of the 4-toed statue! It's coming...don't you worry :D

So by Jack's actions he has indeed made the Ben we know and love (or hate). I thought that was bad wording though. So the hostiles now have Ben and he will lose his innocence? Oh dear.

I thought it dragged on a bit though with Aaron but overall a good episode. Hopefully we'll get onto some real progression from here on, obviously the rest of the show isn't going to be the Losties playing house.

Btw, how old was Ben when he killed his people? Is that coming up soon?

Did anyone else notice that in the security room, there was a printer (I assume) that sounded like the smoke monster? That same zzzt-zzzt sound. Must be where the monster gets the sound from.

Charles Widmore, I wonder?

I couldn't agree any more... the whole Kate/Sawyer/Juliet/Jack thing has really overstayed its welcome more than anything else. Kill two of them off, I don't care anymore... just resolve that whole garbage somehow. Every time my wife and I watch the show and there's a KSJJ thing, we just start groaning. Those parts are almost unwatchable to me now. "I love you! Wait, no I don't! I liked the old you better! No you didn't!" *BARF*

Instead of wasting time on that moronic love... square. They could be answering questions about the show that, I don't know... matter? What's the smoke monster exactly? I want to see an episode arc devoted to Charles Widmore's time and leadership on the island... what happened there that turned him against the Others (apparently)? What about Faraday? Where did he go? It's not been a few episodes and we've only had passing reference to him.

I'm fine with cliff-hangers, you have to be to watch this show. But for every question they raise, they have like 10 more that are still left from before. I don't expect to be spoon-fed every little thing by the time the show ends, but they really should resolve all of the major issues. And to me, it feels like they're going to run out of time to tell all of the stories that they need to tell.

You can never tell for sure what with makeup and all... but if I had to hazard a guess, sometime between his late-20's into the 30's?

If Ben (in these recent episodes) is roughly 12 in 1977, and the Losties first crash on the island in what, 2004? Juliet arrived on the island about 3 years before the Losties... and the Others were fairly established in the compound for it seemed awhile... that would put the purge somewhere in the (I'm guessing) late 80's on into the 90's? I'm going to guess 1994, making Ben about 30 at the time of the purge.

I agree that Jacob has power, but if you think back, doesn't Ben get cancer, and Jack has to save him? They talked about that in yesterday's ep

I thought Ben grew up to be a bad guy because of the bad parenting of his father, but maybe whatever Richard is about to do is the real reason.

Of course, the final twist of Lost could be that Ben has been a good guy all along, working on the island's behalf for some greater cause.

Yes, Jack failed to save young Ben, which apparently leads to him turning into evil Ben.

Later, Jack saved adult Ben, using the opportunity to do a little medical blackmail to try to help Kate, which in the long term didn't make much difference for her.

So Jack made the wrong choice both times. I hope he's paid up on his malpractice insurance!

I agree, maybe he's one of those do-anything-at-all-costs kind of anti-hero... would be kind of cool if the most hated person on the show turned out to be the good guy all along.

it seems like the last few shows back when everyone one was on the mainland, i had a hard time deciding whether Ben was the "good guy" or the "bad guy". it changed pretty much like 3 times throughout the episodes back then.

Yes, but I think the reason he received cancer was the beginning of his downfall. I think he actually tells Locke this.

Also Juliet's sister recovered from the cancer she has... Wether this was Jacob's doing or not we don't know, but that's what we're supposed to believe.

A good episode.

I'm glad that Locke is finally being worked back into the story. I'm interested in seeing what Ben says to him (if he knew john would be alive again, if he's surprised).

I'm interested in seeing how either Locke, Sun, Frank, and Ben go back to '77, or how Sawyer et all come back to the future.

I too am very sick of the stupid love square- who cares about that crap.

I want to know where Faraday is. Is he hanging with Richard and the hostels? Did he go back to the mainland for some reason?

Lots to learn still......

Awhile back—perhaps in this season's first episode—we saw Faraday wearing Dharma gear in the Orchid during its construction. I assume that's where he's been this whole time.

I agree it will be interesting when he comes back into the plot.

I was thinking about this - wouldn't it have made sense for Sawyer's group to go with the others in the first place? They wouldn't have to lie about who they were - assuming the requirement to be an other is to be "chosen" by the island, they would fit right in! Also, it would be their best chance of getting back to present day, assuming the others have a better command over the islands power than Dharma does (at this point). I think I would have gone with the others for sure in that situation.

Two thoughts here - either that was him during the 3 year grace period before Jack and co came back, or Dharma is trying to keep the project secret/secluded, so Faraday is down there for an indetermined amount of time.

I think the former. He joined the effort to create the time traveling station so that he could go back to RL and find his mum. The station was completed before the O6 came back, so he's currently in America (or wherever). This would explain Sawyer's "not any more" answer when asked if Farady was still around.

Keep in mind Locke and Ben are in the future. 2008 or 2009. When the second plane crashed and some of the O6 were taken back to 1977 the rest remaining folks on the plane "crashed" then Locke was resurrected and wound up on the beach. Thats when Sun was told by Jacob ( aka the smoke monster ) she had a ways to go to find the rest.
I think that's where Faraday is. I think he got there by using the wheel to try to go back in time to save Charlotte.

Good, we haven't seen the island court yet... Or have we?

Maybe Jakob is the Judge of Lost Island... Smoke monster is the executioner!

I'm really wondering if we've already seen the fate of Sawyer, Kate and anyone else in 77. They end up in the bottom of the hole which leaves the folks in the present time to be the next others.

I found it a little unusual that they started to bring the crashed plane survivors into the story and then just dropped them from the story line. We'll see if they show up now that Ben and Locke are together again.

i think some people have forgotten that Ben called the smoke monster when he went into that secret room of his. So i doubt that Jacob is the monster or controls the monster. Plus, remember when it took the photos of Juliet? The more i think of it, the more I'm convinced its some sort of machine with a database of faces. Then again you use whistles to call dogs so maybe its a pet monster.... But you never know...
