Wow, neat find.. there's quite a bit of "stuff" on there. Not clues or anything (that I've found) but someone put in quite a bit of time.

This is getting surreal... Next thing you know ABC is going to throw together a bad called driveshaft and start releasing music.

President of Oceanic was Orteig, as in the Orteig prize which Lindbergh won by crossing the Atlantic.

I haven't seen this posted here yet

Take a look at the pictures on driveSHAFT's website...
They look an AWFUL lot like stills from video, not digital pictures. It also looks like in the lower set on the "New Pics" section charlie gets in a bit of a tussle with the band, maybe has to do with his travels to or from sydney. I'm guessing we'll see this exact scene next season in a flashback.

EDIT: scratch that. just saw the footage in an earlier episode i missed.

In an update to my previous post about the island being purgatory for those who landed on it...

Just watched episode three again. While sitting on the beach, during an offly surreal 'heavenly' water-glimmering, violins yawning afternoon, Jack and Kate have the following conversation:

K: "I want to tell you what i did. Why he was after me."
J: "I don't wanna know. It doesn't matter Kate- who we were, what we did before this, before the crash. It doesn't really... Three days ago, we all died. We should all be able to start over.
K: "Ok."
J: "Ok."

Still reviewing the first season, I'll be back.

hasn't it already been said by J.J. Abrams, or someone in the crew, that it definitely is NOT purgatory??? sounds kinda stupid to me anyway, isn't purgatory a completely religious thing? why alienate over half your audience who don't believe in it, or don't even know about it??

The idea of purgatory does not NEED to be associated with religion. Just because it's in the bible doesn't mean the idea can't be referred to in a non-religious way. And for those viewers who don't know about the idea... the entire plot hasn't been revealed yet, so nobody knows for sure what's going on. Whether or not you know what the word purgatory means, in the end everyone will understand the idea of a buffer between life and death.

It's just an idea... i thought the demi-gods were polite enough not to demote other people's ideas as stupid?

Demi-God status is only obtained by contributing money to Macrumors.
Is a Mod said that to you, then you would have something to worry about.

Ohhh. Now I get it, I was thinking I was going crazy because there seemed to be a million new demi-gods, when a couple months ago I could only remember a few people having the moniker. Out of curiousity, what is the monetary sum to become a demi-god?

The contribution is $25

See here for more information.

...you did. It's ok though, I understand what you were trying to say.

The DriveSHAFT band site is done very nicely, to look like a real band's website. There is even an audio interview with Charlie's brother Liam, here.

If you look around the DriveSHAFT site, you find more "Lost" clues (highlight to read):
Harold Wollstein, who was in seat 23-C, invented a watch-sized device combining a phone, MP-3 player, Internet access, a digital camera, and e-mail. It had yet to hit the market.

Boone's mother and Shannon's step-mother is Sabrina Carlyle, who runs the family business, Carlyle Weddings, since her second husband's death, using the money she inherited. Boone was chief operating officer of the business.

There is still money being spent on search rescue and missions.

A negligence suit by the families of the "crash victims" against Oceanic Airlines (www . oceanic-air . com), with legal efforts led by Mrs. Carlyle, brought a settlement award of $4,815,162,342. Interesting amount, don't you think? It also put the airline out of business and displaced 30,000 airline workers.

Jake Smith was a passenger on flight 815 and his wife is Christina Smith.

Flight attendant Janis O'Toole was scheduled for flight 815 but claims she didn't fly it because she was sick. She was engaged to Captain Daniel Weiss, the 815 pilot. She claims that there is no proof that there were problems with "faulty telemetry equipment and radios". Hmm... perhaps she "protests too much".

A possibly untrustworthy source (who believes in alien UFOs) claims that several of the passengers had no driver's licenses and no social security numbers and that the signal from Flight 815's black box either stopped transmitting or is no longer on earth.

There's alot of intriguing stuff on that website... I'll try not to reveal spoilers.

Wow!! Jack was 23A right? So that means he was on the front half of the plane... i wonder if he survived, or at least his device did? And if so, I wonder if it'll come into play next season, possibly making use of the radio tower?

No longer on earth! I smell a purgatory....

So much for trying not to reveal the spoilers... Doctor Q "hid" them so you would have to hilite them, but your quotes put them out there. :(

...exactly.... which is why i chose topics unrelated to events exposed within the show... thereby not "spoiling" anything. If you haven't watched the show, I'll let you know that neither of those points were touched on in the slightest bit throughout the season. Don't worry, nothing's been spoiled.

You bet it is-

4 8 15 16 23 42.

Thanks, when I saw that on the website (before Doctor Q posted it here) I wondered if it was.

Hey I have a question, do we know for a fact that Hurley owned the box factory that Lock worked at?

If so, does Lock know who Hurley is because of it?

Man this show is gooood!

Can't believe no one has posted this one yet. It's all over the net, I can't seem to find any reputable source, but I'm sure with the combined power of the MacRumors' Lost Fan Club we'll get to the bottom of this.

Now the rumor:

Samuel L. Jackson will be appearing as Bernard, Rose's husband, in the premier of season 2. Lot's of forum posts out there about it that link to IMDB, but I wasn't able to find anything there, I have seen one where someone tries to kill the rumor but his link isn't any more reputable than any I have seen googling.
