So I stumbled across unbelievably cheap wholesale lots of iPhone 3GS' on eBay, and was very intrigued at first, but now have my doubts. It seems that some sellers are selling them much cheaper than others ($3200 for 10 factory unlocked 32gb 3GS.) The sellers that are selling much cheaper don't accept Paypal though. I emailed one of them and he said he accepts American Express . I would buy them in an instant if I knew it was legitimate, but I think it's too good to be true. Both sellers seem to have perfect feedback.

Cheap Lot (Doesn't accept Paypal)

Lot Closer to market value (Accepts Paypal)

Anyone know anything about this? Thanks in advance.

Rule of thumb... if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is

I have several 3GS s for only $250.

Just send the money through Western Union.
I live in Nigeria.
Thanks

[/sarcasm]

Anyway the 1st link - the auction states to email 2010statements@2x24.net , whereas in all the other auctions by the same seller (which are all ART and NOT iPhones) the contact email is : Statements2000i@hotmail.com

Secondly, the same auction is listed by hand. All other auctions listed by that seller are done using auctiva auction listing.
My guess this persons account has been hacked.

As MacDawg mentioned "too good to be true....."

$250? - thats a sweet deal - 32GB, right?

Do you accept PayPal or just Western Union?

Can you PM with the details. If you have several, I'd like maybe 2.

Also, how long does it take to ship to NY from Nigeria and what are the fees.

Thanks.

P.S. - I may be able to buy a 3rd. I will need to check with a friend of mine.

If anyone is considering purchasing one of these cheap iPhones, you might prefer to do business with me. I offer complete transparency in all such transactions: I won't send you an iPhone any more than the other sellers, but at least I will tell you up front that I won't.

Now THAT is good customer service. However I will pricematch ANY competitor and offer a complete satisfaction guarantee.

Oh, I offer a satisfaction guarantee, too. If you are not completely satisfied with the iPhone you don't receive, just contact me and I will not send you another one immediately.

Wait...

So do you have 32GB iPhones for $250 or not?

I have trouble determining whether someone is seriousor not. I have Aspergers which is a form of Autism. It leaves me with "social blindness."

Lets see....all his other auctions are art and he accepts PayPal. Suddenly a lot of 10 iPhones just falls in his lap and he's selling them for below market value and is not accepting PayPal (which almost always sides with the buyer in a dispute)

If you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you.....

How can he be running a scan and still accept American Express?

If you don't get what you paid for American Express will reverse the charges on your card. Am I missing something?

If that is true, I would avoid doing business over the Internet period
Or I would make sure someone else monitors my activity regularly constantly

He's probably hoping that some idiot who falls for it doesn't know what a chargeback is.

Remember, if the acution results in them scamming only one person for $3,200 and that person just says "Oh crap, I got scammed. Nothing I can do about it" then that's $3,200 they didn't have before. It's like the Nigerian scam emails. They send them out to millions of people and I bet 99.9% of the recipients don't fall for it. But if one person does, it's a success for them.

Thanks for the tip!!!!!!!

(I copy and pasted this on my desktop so I can be reminded when something sounds too good to be true)

Are you just playing around with people here? You say you have Aspergers. You say on another thread you have an IQ of 57. Yet, after having looked through some of your other posts, you use a word like "profundity??" I'm not buying it.
