Are you just playing around with people here? You say you have Aspergers. You say on another thread you have an IQ of 57. Yet, after having looked through some of your other posts, you use a word like "profundity??" I'm not buying it.

One of my autistic abilities is having a very comprehensive vocabulary. The problem is, I defecate in my pants by mistake a lot. Not a good look. :(

How can he be running a scan and still accept American Express?

If you don't get what you paid for American Express will reverse the charges on your card. Am I missing something?

"Dear $AuctionWinner,

Congratulations and thanks for bidding on my lot of 10 iPhones. You're going to love these phones. I've got them all packed and ready to send, but unfortunately I'm currently having trouble processing Amex payments. If we can arrange payment through another means (Western Union, perhaps) you will have your iPhones in no time. It's a pleasure doing business with you.

Sincerely,

$Scammer"

Or...

Dear $AuctionWinner,

Congratulations and thanks for bidding on my lot of 10 iPhones. You're going to love these iPhones. Unfortunately, my website for accepting credit card payments is down, but if you email me your Amex number, expiration date, CVV2 code, billing address, PIN number and social security number for verification, I can process your payment and send out your iPhones ASAP.

Wow

Wait...

So do you have 32GB iPhones for $250 or not?

I have trouble determining whether someone is seriousor not. I have Aspergers which is a form of Autism. It leaves me with "social blindness."

And you live in NYC  that city is a scammers wet dream! :p. BTW I can get them to you for $225 but ya gotta order at least six. I will have a buddy of mine meet you at 2am in a very dark Alley. he is a great guy just works weird hours, trust me! ;) Oh he like to play baseball real late too so don't worry about the bat, oh the ball is glow in the dark.

Looks like you're undercutting the other guy.

Anyway, sorry, I think you are not for real. I also have no need for 6. I wanted only 2.

With warm heart I offer my friendship, and my greetings, and I hope this letter meets you in good time.

It will be surprising for you to receive this proposal from me since you do not know me personally.

However, I am sincerely seeking your confidence in this transaction, which I, propose with my free mind and as a person of integrity.

A) It is practically impossible for me to carry out this business alone.

B) You live in a foreign land far away from mine.

This should normally not be a requirement, but when you understand the transaction then you will understand why it is important that you live far away from me.

C) The amount of money involved in this transaction is Fifteen Million one hundred thousand united states dollars (US$15,100,000.00) which is too much for a man of modest means like myself to handle in my country.

I believe from my few points above, you can begin to get an idea why I need your participation.I am writing you in respect of a foreign customer who has a Domicillary account in my bank.

His name was Engineer Frank oliver. He was among those who died in a plane crash, Since the demise of this our customer, Engineer Frank oliver, who was an oil merchant and import/exporter, I have kept a close watch of the deposit records and accounts and since then nobody has come to claim the money in this a/c as next of kin to the late Engineer.

He had only Fifteen Million one hundred thousand united states dollars(US$15,100,000.00) in his account and the account is coded.

It is only an insider that could produce the code of the deposit particulars.

As it stands now, there is nobody in that position to produce the needed information other than my very self considering my position in the bank.

Based on the reason that nobody has come forward to claim the deposit as next of kin,I hereby ask for you to send an application to the bank as he next of kin to the deceased and get this fund transfered into your foreign bank a/c for mutual sharing between myself and you,%5 for charity, 5% for expences we will incure just in case, 35% for you and 55% for me.

All I need is for you to follow my instructions closely because I am experienced in inheritance matters here and i am on ground here to advice you on every step until you receive the money.

What is required of you is to send an application to the bank as next of kin to the late Engineer and I promise you that everything will go smoothly.

I also indulge you not to make undo use of the information given to you, I need also to trust that you will not tell people or your bank about this business.

You will collect the money first, then I get my share, then you can tell anybody what you chose thereafter.I shall need your help to invest in your country therefore, any experience you have in this area will be beneficial.

Please feel free to call me on my direct telephone number for any question or further explanations if required and upon the receipt of your favourable responses I shall send to you a text of application which you shall send to the Bank putting claim over the deceased fund.

Yours truly,

Mr Thomos Dah

Wow this thread got a lot of response. I was almost positive it was a scam, just wanted to be sure of it. At least now I have a forum to come to when I have iPhone questions. Thanks guys.

Ok... enough. I do have a son on the spectrum and your "joking" about an ASD has gone far enough.
If you knew anything about ASD's up to and including Asperger's, you would know that other than issues with social mores, people with AS are as "normal" as neuro typical people. So, your Asperger's that you claim to have would have nothing to do with the control of your bowels. So how about you grow up and not make fun of a group of people simply because it amuses you.

Yes. Either:

A) you will not get the charge reversed
or
B) you will get the charge reversed but he will still have his money. So American Express, not you, takes the hit.

Blah blah blah....

I DO have AS... and am not NT m'kaaaaaaaaay?

Got it? Social blindess is just ONE aspect. Did you want me to list all of my associated handicaps? - for all to see?!? Sociability was addressed as it pertained to the conversation. Geeez.

Maybe you should go check out www.wrongplanet.com and get yourself more familiarized with the condition.

The bowel situation is a comorbid condition. Now please leave me alone. you're only making me feel more insecure and hateful of who I am. Please stop.

Blah blah blah....

Yeah, I won't take the time to really "get into" this with you.... Believe me, I know plenty about the "condition" you say you have. Spent the last 7 years of my life learning and dealing with said condition. I don't need to go to a web site to "learn" about it, it's pretty much all I deal with in my life. So nice try, but I know WAY to much about this to believe you. Sorry, maybe you fooled some of the other people here on MR, but not me. ;)

Hey, I gain nothing by convincing you. But being an Aspie has held me back plenty in life. No friends. Inability to connect. Constantly being misunderstood. Social faux pas all day long. Serious OCD. Very narrow interests. Uncanny organizational abilities. Can fix ANYTHING without knowldege or instrcution. It goes on and on.

Anyway, www.wrongplanet.net is a great forum. Many Aspies do successful stuff in life. They're not all inept. I do suggest though, that you or your son create an account. It is a good community and support message forum.
