Haha people are now making up model numbers of future unannounced processors.
We’re speculating about a name of a future processor Apple is sure to release, yes. Because Apple is definitely releasing another M chip after this. Chances are, based on previous Apple naming schemes, it’ll be called the M2 or the M1X. The same way we assume that the next iPhone chip will be called the A15. I’m sorry if I offended you in some way by saying M1X instead of next-generation-Apple-Silicon-chip-for-Mac-that-has-not-been-announced-yet.

Uh how was I offended? I only stated something based on what you wrote. Sheesh calm down. And if the "Haha" interprets me being offended (when it means I was laughing) then you should look up what Haha means.

Love my mini, though I only purchased the base model so I'm a little worried about the 8gb ram being enough.

This is to replace my extremely power-hungry Sandy bridge gaming PC as I don't game much anymore (2600k @5ghz with SLI GTX 780 under custom loop), aside from Path of Exile which is not yet playable (under Rosetta 2 and CrossOver) due to AVX2 instructions or something, but am told M1 will be supported sometime in the future (hopefully sooner than later).

The only issue I've run into was in Safari and Facebook where I'd get a memory usage problem, possible memory leak? A browser change to Chrome remedied my issue.

I received my M1 MacMini 16GB/512GB yesterday afternoon. I grabbed two monitors I had, and a Dell dual monitor stand. I also set up the Logitech MX keyboard and MX 3 Mac Mouse using the unifying receiver (as I read that there were BT issues). I'll try a BT headphone tomorrow, but I prefer my Audioquest DragonFly Red USB DAC/Amp. to BT.

I dug out an very old Logitech WebCam and it works. But is is pretty low res. I did add a second monitor lamp (after the picture was taken).

Well so far so good. The USB-C and HDMI monitor wake from sleep without issue ( also read there were problems for some monitors waking from sleep). So no issue there.

No Wifi issues yet. I do have BT on, but no BT devices engaged.

I'll be adding a newer/better webcam (a Logitech Brio looks good). I'll be looking for a USB-Dock once I figure out the best one that will mate with the M1. Has anyone found a good dock for the M1 yet?

I'll do some cable hiding once I'm am sure there are no nasty bugs to track down.

Dare I say the MacMini's performance is snappy!:p
