What beta version is out at the moment?
New beta just came out today. However I’m experiencing “touch” lag already. I swipe left or right on home screen and it’s not accepting input sometimes. Meh it’s beta, I’ve always accepted a bit of annoyance to try new stuff.

Using on my “daily driver” but as long as my phone isn’t bricked I don’t mind bugs and if I can help make it even better with reports it’s something I’m willing to do!

Does San Andreas work okay on iOS13? 13 is running okay on my 12.9” and I’m long overdue a replay of SA, whilst it isn’t a game that I want to play at home where I’ve got myriad newer games.
No issues so far. I’ve found almost no issues with the apps I use frequently. There are a few formatting issues from time to time but it’s more of a UI glitch’s but doesn’t impede the app.

So you are using the PS4 remote play app on the iPad and can control the game using a PS4 controller? No workarounds?
Yes. The only thing I cannot get to work is the map in one of the games I play, but all else is working. Can view my PS4 menus, select a game and play. Works both in my house and out of the house, so long as I’m on WiFi. Hopefully Sony will update their app to work better with iPadOS. But so far this is pretty sweet. Now when I’m traveling for business, I’m taking a PS4 controller with me.

I’ve been using the PS4 remote play app and PS4 controller for the last couple of days. Do you find the touchpad and PS button don’t work and you have to use the touch controls to use them in game?

I know. I only discovered it the other day. It’s really awesome. And super easy to setup. Took like 5 mins and I had complete control of my Xbox from anywhere in house on the iPad. It’s super cool and easy. It is 11.99 but 12 bucks for a product that does exactly what it says it will do is ok with me.

any issues with lag etc.? i have very fast internet in my house and i know one cast only works on in-home wifi. supposedly xbox this fall is coming with their streaming service where your xbox at home will act as a server and broadcast your game to you on the road over wifi or celluar but again i wonder how that will go. if i can someday play my full up xbox one games ON THE ROAD via my iPad pro it will be INSANE!

That would be awesome but currently onecast requires you to be in your home on the same network as your xbox. It used to allow you to stream it when away from home but xbox killed that ability on them, and perhaps its because they are making their own service like you said. As for lag there can be a little at times but overall it runs great. I've been playing mortal kombat 11 and RDR2 without any issues. Any lag on video or buttons was few and far between and never caused me any huge issue or was detrimental to gameplay.

Yes. Like right now I am a fan of Division 2, been playing it a lot during my free time, so that was one of the games I was testing out, and could not get the touchpad to work for the map at all. Wasn't the end of the word, I wondered around and took out a few bad guys with my sniper rifle and what not and it is doable, for sure doable on my next business trip. Hopefully Sony will add the touchpad functionality soon. Being able to play my games on my iPad with the controller is really cool.

Am I right in thinking that when iOS13 is released, I'll be able to stream my Xbox to iPad using OneCast then use the Xbox One controller connected to the iPad directly?

I understand that currently I'm limited to the range of my controller connected to the Xbox?

Can yu tell if ps3 controller will work or not ?
Nope, only Xbox One and PS4 controllers are supported right now. The PS3 controller is not even supported on Steam on PC, so most likely the PS3 controller won’t ever be supported on iOS. You should probably get a PS4 or an Xbox One controller if you want to use a controller.

The problem is ps5 will be released in 2020 and so will be the new xbox so apple will probably add support for them too and as i use all my gadgets with care and they run long in my hands lol ( so ps4 controller will be lying in a corner after i buy ps5 controller )
So i guess i will be waiting then

it will be similar if not the same as Xbox to Windows 10 stream

Sounds like that’s what you should do. They’ll support them for sure, and hopefully other controllers by that time too.

You know what would be cool? If 8bitdo would make an adapter that worked on iOS so you could use practically any controller out there on it, including PS3, Switch controllers and even Wii remotes. Like this for the Switch: http://www.8bitdo.com/wireless-usb-adapter/ except wireless instead of USB. It could be done, they’d just have to disguise the adapter so iOS thinks it’s an Xbox One controller. I hope they do it.
