iPad Pro LTE IPad Pro network?

Hello all,

I purchased an iPad Pro wifi only yesterday but now I am seeing that Best Buy has a great deal on the LTE model which could be price matched. My question is do I need to activate the LTE with a network at purchase or can I just get the iPad and use wifi until later when I want to activate in a network?
