Screen between the 2 is like chalk and cheese, if you cant tell the difference time to see a eye dr, same as those that say no diff between the air 2 and 14" MacBooks.

My current iPad usage;

iPad Mini 6; I take to the office as it’s so light and does all I need it to do.

iPad Pro 11”; This I take when going away at the weekend. It’s better than the mini for media consumption and still small enough for travel.

iPad Pro 12.9” This I use mainly around the house. obviously the best screen and although it is the heaviest it moves only between my home office and bedroom. I have taken it away on trips before but find that when travelling weight is everything, especially when walking around with a backpack so the 11” wins for that.

I’ve got similar usage. iPad mini 6 is my EDC while the 11” is my travel iPad.

That said, I do bring my 12.9” to the office but what I do is bring it on Monday, leave it in the office for the workweek and just take it home on Friday.

I went from iPad 11 Pro to the M1 12.9 Pro. I don’t think I could I go back to the 11 Pro. Use my 12.9 pro for everything. Even reading is much better on it with the bigger screen.

What about the weight? I find the 12.9 considerably heavier than the 11"

Here
I wouldn't purchase the M2 series iPad Pros due to their high price and very limited improvements, but I do plant to replace my 12.9” iPad Pro and iPad mini combo with a 2024 11” iPad Pro.

I may keep the iPad mini for reading, but we’ll see. I bought the larger iPad Pro for the mini LED screen and future aspirations of my next productivity and creativity device. Realistically I ended up using it to watch videos. I got an iPad mini from work and then my usage for the pro dropped. Even when the mini is too small I prefer that to too large. I’ve discovered that I want an iPad tablet first and makeshift laptop second, not the other way around.

This is why I sold my 12.9" M1 after 1 year and went back to a 11" M1, I had the original 11" for 2 years before.
