With AppleCare+ can you get Express Replacement even on Macs? Thought it was iPhones and iPads
You are correct. I thought it also covered Macs. What a let down. I edited my post. With AppleCare+ can you get Express Replacement even on Macs? Thought it was iPhones and iPads
Ok, that’s good to know about the AC+ re Macs. Bummer. I’ll definitely keep the coverage perks in mind re iPhones and iPads. I hope you can get this issue solved. You are correct. I thought it also covered Macs. What a let down. I edited my post.
Thanks for posting.
I have been having this same issue with my new M1 Mac. The screen brightness drops all the way down whenever I open the lid as well. It has been very annoying and I hope apple fixes it with the next update. There is however something slightly off about auto-brightness on the new M1s
Auto Br used to work very well on macs.
It seems to misbehave at times on the new M1 where it will suddenly get very dim even with a minor drip in the ambient light and require manual adjustment.
I have never had a need to disable Auto Br on erstwhile macs until now.
Hopefully (and very likely) a minor software glitch that gets fixed in the next OS release cycle
Yea, it does appear to be very buggy. Make sure and file a bug report.Same here. Auto-brightness on M1 just seems broken to be honest.
