M1 MBA or M1 MBP?

Thanks! I didn’t realize its instant on as soon as you open — its one thing I’ve loved about basically turning my IPP into a laptop. I had a 2015 MBP (or thereabouts) and I was sick of the overheating, lack of always on, and battery life. It sounds like MBA might be the computer for me.

I used a 2014 MBP for a while, and it had well controlled thermals, at least when free of dust. I ended up retiring it because the battery couldn't provide full load power, and a battery replacement was a solid third of the machine's value.
