M1 Ultra - for rendering charts!

I meant to say I'd go with the studio m1 max 32gb.

I also meant to say I need to run Parallels so I can run my pc based trading sw.

Max is overkill for charts. Mini is more than enough.

Would I be able to run 5 monitors off the mini? i see 2 thunderbolts and an hdmi ports on the mini. i have my eye on a utechsmart docking station. so i have plenty of ports but, would the mac mini be able to handle the monitors.

if you can wait, wait for the M2 mini update as its just around the corner (either fall this year or spring next year)
as for the monitors, I think Apple has that on their website so have a look there. Can't remember from top of my head.

As for Parallels - I haven't tried so maybe take advantage of Apple's return policy, get one unit and test it out. You have 14 days for full refund which is plenty of time to know if it suits YOU.

TOS runs very poorly on the Studio, though there are some workarounds.
