He is just plain wrong with regards to RAM. The "testing" they do are just not that good. You could easily hit 32GB with Photoshop, Lightroom or equivalent application, focus stacking, panorama stitching or HDR.

Obviously not, all the testing with Final Cut Pro haven't been done on the pre-release software Apple used. I suspect we need some more software updates before anything truly takes advantage of the M1 Ultra.Still, it does not maximize its performance even on Final Cut Pro X.
Has anyone managed to hit the 120W of the Ultra GPU in any benchmark?

The graph comparing the Ultra GPU with the Nvidia GPU looks more and more suspicious.
Totally It was the same with the M1 Max MacBook Pro. Unless you were using Adobe Beta apps it was a little underwhelming compared to how they run now.Obviously not, all the testing with Final Cut Pro haven't been done on the pre-release software Apple used. You should contact the people in the thread 3D Rendering on Apple Silicon, CPU&GPU. Some users there have the M1 Ultra Mac Studio. If someone has an Uktra I can send them my ALU throughput benchmsrk code.
If the software is not yet ready, the launch of Mac Studio seems a bit rushed. Apple may have released it prematurely to include the first sales in this quarter.Obviously not, all the testing with Final Cut Pro haven't been done on the pre-release software Apple used. Very odd indeed. This makes me want to cancel my B&H Pre-Order since they're not returnable from there. But I also have a good spot inline and if I cancel it, It'll be several several weeks from Apple.I don't know what its clock rate is. But if we never see the GPU consume enough power to raise the temperature enough to increase the fan speed at all, then either the GPU clock rate is constrained by factors other than heat (and that could very well be), or why not allow the clock rate to increase? So far no one has reported the fans EVER leaving the idle speed with any benchmark or actual use, and that seems very odd.
It wasn't just the ultra, the M1Max had pretty poor GPU scaling as well. I think there was something about the whole M1 generation that didn't scale well. It wasn't as noticeable at the smaller GPU core counts (like the M1 and M1Pro) but as you started to add more and more GPU cores you could see the scaling fall off.Whelp based on the M2 Max 38c scores, it looks like the M1 Ultra really is/was broken. Wonder if the M2 Ultra would fix whatever scaling/utilization issues the M1 Ultra had/has.
Up to Max was not to bad but I think this show well how horrible the M1 Ultra is.It wasn't just the ultra, the M1Max had pretty poor GPU scaling as well.
