I have an M4 iPad, still very new, only 14 weeks old, 38 charge cycles, and the battery has already dropped to 99% capacity? Even with the maximum charge set at 80% (with some charges up to 100%)? At 14 weeks and 38 charge cycles that equals approximately 2.7 charge cycles per week. iPad was manufactured in March 2026, first use May 2026. Is this normal?
On the other hand my iPhone 17, at 26.5 weeks old and 46 charge cycles (approximately 1.7 charge cycles per week), maximum charge set at 80% (with a handful of charges up to 100%) is still at 100% capacity. iPhone manufactured January 2026, First use end of February, 2026. I feel like my iPad battery, even though it's only 1%, shouldn't have dropped yet.
Again, is this normal?
