Mac mini CD has issues maintaining a persistent Airport connection, and once it drops I have to manually select the network again. It may have been fixed in future updates, but my mini is now connected by a wireless to Ethernet bridge.

All of my other Apple computers/screens/iPods are either perfect, or have been made perfect :D

Limited third-party hardware, having to shop very carefully with other electronic devices to make sure they play well with Macs. I see that as a plus and a minus. I get much more done with my camera, my iPod, my phone, etc, than most Windows users. And I don't install drivers very often. I see it most of the time as skimming the 5% of best hardware off the market and just not supporting the 95% of garbage. It isn't always that way, but it often is.

Smartphones seem to be the biggest hassle...

Only thing that bugs me about mine is the clicky click sounds above/around the optical drive slot when my wrist rests on it. I haven't wanted to do anything about it because it's not that big of a deal.

Only one that I've found that is kind of annoying....

The top panel/keyboard surround is bowed up slightly (<1mm) on the left hand side by the speaker grill, as is the keyboard and my power botton is turned slightly counter clockwise. I didn't notice it until last week when someone else was complaining about theirs on here (bastards!). Considering these are made of aluminum and hand assembled, its not THAT bad.....besides, I found a place online that sells that panel as well as new keyboards...should the bow become too much :)

No yellow screen ... week 25 Samsung

No excessive heat ... SMC is sweeet! Turning the minimum up 250rpm has made a huge difference....never got that hot anyway....I can play Quake 4 for over an hour and temps only push 70-75c with the fans @ 4000rpm.

My wife now wants one, maybe I'll give her my 15" and upgrade to the high res 17"? ;)

The burning hot love my mbp shows me...by burning my legs:eek::)

Heh, my old VAIO was hotter than hot (it was a desktop Pentium 4 2.4 with a 16" 1600 x 1200 resolution screen and an inch thick - we're talking Hades) - like, I have splotches on my upper thighs that are actually tanner than the rest of my legs because of it. Yes, the heat from the computer tanned my skin. My MacBook is positively cool in comparison.

Thus far, my only real "defect" has been the noisiness of the SuperDrive when burning or reading. Like, it's loud. Well, and the integrated graphics  - but I haven't quite "learned to live with" that quite yet. That one almost kept me from buying the computer in the first place (I wanted to try to see if I could scrounge the $400 for the MBP, but my old machine literally died and I had to buy a replacement on Sunday and that just wasn't an option) and I am jonsing to hack the EPP so I can try to expand the allocated shared memory for the graphics adaptor. If that turns out to be impossible (which I highly doubt), then I'll accept defeat.

When closed the top corners of the screen stay up about a CM, instead of being flat with the computer, it doesn't bother me too much and I really don't want to get a replacement. (I don't even know if thats a defect, does anyone else's do that?)

it stays up a cm???? a WHOLE cm???? lol.....as in 10millimetres??? thats pretty far.

I might be exaggerating as I suck at metric let me go look for a ruler to actually measure it...

Yeah I was, its only about half a CM, so 4-5mm. Thats only on the left side, the right side is about 2mm. (Which I just noticed, I always thought they were equally raised).

I have a defect where I keep surfing to these forums and reading about and becoming aware of more defects.

i'll guess i have to live with the defect that firefox can't handle pdf files in its own browser...and that safari doesn't have mouse gestures...i know that's not a defect in the hardware, but the hardware is tied into these software

If it's 1cm, Apple will fix it. At 1cm, the reed switch should even wake the computer from sleep. ;)

haha the computer wouldnt even go to sleep

hahaha ok thats orright. mine is about...3-4mm id say, more so on the left side. u get used to it

lmao...this one almost made spit coke on my computer. I could almost hear the incredulity in the post... :D The lid would have to be a freakin boomerang, eh?

lol i had to look in a dictionary to see what incredulity meant, but now i kno i can laugh...
a cm is like...0.39 inches... just imagine that gap.
