You could try to flash the GTX780 with the rom that was only here on Macrumors. But it was untested and a pirated version from MVC

Considering that "the file" in question is 100% the hard work and dedication of Rominator, I think you can kiss this option goodbye.

The ROM is not something that some schmuck found posted on a forum, downloaded it, and then started flogging it to everyone who wanted it for oodles of cashey money; it's something that HE wrote. Asking for someone to post it is just...bad taste.

Cheers.

Absolutely ridiculous as you idolized macvidcard and rominator here. I don’t beleve that the two guys have really written the EFI part from scratch - i think they have just analyzed the EFI part of various existing Mac ROM’s, certainly very elaborate, in order to make the necessary adjustments for newer cards. I do not want to belittle their work, but to idolize people is ridiculous. They make a lot of money by making such a secret about the whole thing. I would like to know if it’s really rocket science to built such a ROM File.

Then I respectfully invite you to write a functionally identical ROM. Once you have done so, you are of course entitled to do whatsoever you please with it, including posting it for free on this very site. In fact, I strongly encourage you so to do - it would break MVC's literal monopoly and allow access to boot screens for many others.

But if you are not capable of providing such a service, it's not particularly wise to demonize the one guy who is.

Good luck on that ROM!
