Hi fellow apples,

I have had this problem since 2 years and I have not found a solution, yet:

When I play music on my MacBook Pro Retina (connected to a display and lid closed), which is connected to a speaker through the headphone jack, and don't use the MacBook while the music is playing, then it just stops playing the music after a while (maybe 15-20 minutes).
It could be that it is going to sleep, but shouldn't the music app (I played music with iTunes and Spotify) keep it from going to sleep? I also thought that it could be a problem with the WiFi connection, but it also happens when I play music that was already downloaded.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Device:
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015)
macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 (17E202)

Odd. Try messing with energy saver prefs on sleep time. See if it changes things.
MacBook might care if it's plugged in or not?
Remember to set things back when done, or you could eat battery alive.
