No difference.I noticed that it is an EDU order. Would that make a difference in shipping time?

I just got word from Apple today that the Mini is on backorder and possibly will ship at the end of September.
A pretty long time for a Mac that *should* be in stock ...
Still hope for an update tomorrow.![]()
I'm in Massachusetts. Not quite as remote as, say, Siberia.

Are they supposed to announce anything tomorrow?
I ordered my Mini on 9/22.
Shipping has been set at October 3/4. They're in stock so I don't know why I must wait almost 2 weeks when I ordered 2-3 day shipping...
Can you provide a screen shot of this I'm trying to have 9 to 5 Mac to research it so they can look into it further and ask their sources about why they delay and if a new Mac mini is coming

Can you have 9 to 5 Mac to research it whether bAdNitro provide a screen shot or not ?
Chill, he just said he ordered iPhone5 as well, it explains everything.
Someone said there would be a new Mini this year , but I don't know whether it is true or not.
So , since 9 to 5 Mac can research it , why don't you have 9 to 5 Mac to research it ?

Well what they can do is if I provide some sort of proof that a delay is indeed going on Witt the Mac minis, then can look into other people buying a max minis then if there's more people having the same issue I assume that they ask their sources on the matter but without any evidence we cannot just say go look this up
Nobody said that.
Guys, I had dinner w/ an Apple employee who knows release dates. He told me to wait on a Mini purchase, which I took as sometime in October. I have waited diligently since June, needing a Thunderbolt machine to drive an TB Display, which I got a good deal on for $650.
But now, after waiting so long, and Ivy is already 6 mos old, I'm thinking of buying the Intel NUC, which will have an i3 with TB, and retail < $400. I'm not wedded to OSX, especially on the desktop, since I use it mainly for working on Excel, which is better under Win7 for business use. Apple may have lost a Mini sale by waiting so long to upgrade.

Question is: will this drive a TB Display?

Hmm. Apple employee who knows release dates? Very few people at Apple know exact release dates, must be very senior or work in the mini group.
There are many educated rumors about new iMacs and iPad minis coming in October, but few news and rumors about minis.
I will believe it when I see it, mini updates could be coming in 2013 only...
