Mac Mini delay

I went to an Apple store here in Houston on Friday to pick one of these up, and they didn't have any 2.5 GHz models in stock. They did have the 2.3 GHz and the mini servers in stock though.

A pretty long time for a Mac that *should* be in stock ...

Hey op gives us an update on your machine is it still slipping ? Are they now gonna deliver by oct 2 ? Let us know !

Nope, but tuesday always is a good day. ;)

I guess we have to wait until the end of october to get the Mini, but hope never is a bad thing in the end.
 
I ordered my Mini on 9/22.

Shipping has been set at October 3/4. They're in stock so I don't know why I must wait almost 2 weeks when I ordered 2-3 day shipping...

Can you provide a screen shot of this I'm trying to have 9 to 5 Mac to research it so they can look into it further and ask their sources about why they delay and if a new Mac mini is coming

Ok so I realized why my mini is delayed. When I added the iPhone 5 to my order, it changed the 2-3 day shipping to standard shipping, so I really don't think my particular order means anything. Sorry about that.

If you still want me to submit a picture, let me know

Someone said there would be a new Mini this year , but I don't know whether it is true or not.
So , since 9 to 5 Mac can research it , why don't you have 9 to 5 Mac to research it ?

Well what they can do is if I provide some sort of proof that a delay is indeed going on Witt the Mac minis, then can look into other people buying a max minis then if there's more people having the same issue I assume that they ask their sources on the matter but without any evidence we cannot just say go look this up

Hmm. Apple employee who knows release dates? Very few people at Apple know exact release dates, must be very senior or work in the mini group.

There are many educated rumors about new iMacs and iPad minis coming in October, but few news and rumors about minis.

I will believe it when I see it, mini updates could be coming in 2013 only...

Just got a notice from Apple that my Mini was shipped today. So I assume it's the same model and for some reason Apple was low on their stock.
 
Just to add some closure to this thread, the Mini arrived nearly two months after it was ordered. There was nothing unusual about it; it was the same model I asked for. I don't know why it was backordered for so long. Maybe the Minis have been selling really well. :confused:
