I will 100% have questions, this is going to be my first mac computer and my first time doing upgrades to a system, i'm a total noob but I usually catch on pretty fast.

That sounds scary... First time Mac user and first time upgrades :)

It is one thing to do experiments with peripherals, but if you are going to pull the mini apart to do SDD upgrades etc then do a lot of research on watching vids and close-up pics. It is easy, but many still rip off parts here and there.

Good luck and welcome to the world of Mac computers.

Ya man i'm gonna do as much research I can here in the next few months until im 100% sure I know what to do, but i'm also gonna have a buddy help me out who is very comfortable with building computers.

Right now I think I should be able to handle adding the RAM myself and then I just wanna figure out how to get Windows 8 running. Those two will hold me over for a little while I save up the funds for my total overhaul of this bad boy.

I know this is a few months old but...will the sonnet and vidock combo work daisy chained? I already have a segate TB connector with a 3TB drive, which is daisy chained to my display.
