What problems were you having? Myself and two others at work all got 2009 Mac Mini's at the same time, they have been flawless with the exception of one friend who bought RAM for it, and one of the sticks was bad, but that wasn't the OEM memory and had nothing to do with Apple.

I'm confused. The current Mini is the 3rd version of the Intel variety, and overall the 5-6th revision since its introduction. Far from revision A.

I said rev A, not "first gen". Point me towards the last Mini with dual display, fw800, DDR3, wireless N and nVidia graphics.

First one was sluggishly slow, programs wouldn't force quit, and couldn't shut it down without turning off at the switch. AppleCare wanted to blame my Time Machine backup, so on my second Mini I didn't use one. This one was perfect for about a week, then froze and did nothing but beep the next time I turned it on.

The RAM was ordered through Apple, in the hope I wouldn't have this kind of problem, ha...

Sorry about your problems. I agree with you, it is a revision, in order to make the changes they made which most people don't consider, they had to change almost every component in that system except MAYBE for the hard drives. Even the USB controller is likely different since the mainboard had to change.

If you want, I will push the submit button on your next order, maybe your Shakra is out of alignment.

Called Apple about it on Friday, it's apparently the first they've heard of it - I got put through to someone in America who says they want to send someone to my house to "capture" the Mini in its current state.

They were supposed to be doing that on Monday, but now it's almost Wednesday and I've heard nothing. In the meantime, I've had to buy a replacement Mini in person until the new one is fixed (then return the one I bought under the two week Store policy, luckily no restocking charge) - this was AppleCare's actual recommendation as I told them I urgently needed a computer. :O
