How confident can we be that "upcoming" Mac Minis will contain these?

Put is this way, IF they're updated these 13" MBPs will be the specs for the new mini.

Apple loves to share parts, it saves them a bunch of cash by in ordering in bulk and they can drip feed old components into other models to use up old inventory. I guess too it's also easier to optimize software for a limited range of components.

Last year Apple invested in a new design for the mini, which I'm thinking will hang around for the next year plus, and is a good indication that it will not be EOLed. So the real question is WHEN, when can we get new ones..? It may be a while yet - even as late as June.

Wouldn't we likely see Sandy Bridge in the next Server version of the mini?

I'd think pretty seriously about a 4-core/8-thread mini at $999.

The hope is for SandyB and T-bolt in all 2011 mac minis. It just makes good money sense for it to happen. They spent a lot on the outside design last year and now they will spend a lot on the inner design this year. I offer my sympathies to 2010 mac mini owners in advance.

Besides the configuration, the thing I care about most is that how much is the possibility that Apple will update Mac Mini within two months? I noticed that it's 19 months between the "Mid 2007" and "Early 2009" models.

That was during the time when rumors said it would be EOL. They skipped over a refresh, but have since updated it consistently. Shoukd come again in April/May with the iMacs.
