mac mini upgrades

As far as a blue ray drive in a mini. I would say you might want to think about your Video output capabilities. None on a Mini will support blueray HD output.

Last i checked blu ray and HD DVD wernt making HDCP a requirement to watc h HD movies "yet"

Blu-Ray wont work in a mini. Period.

All I see is information for using the blueray drive as storage, which I am sure will work. But It does not say anything about play back of HD media.
I guess it is worth a try. at least it will do all the things that a super drive will do allthough it looks like it will only burn at 1x for bluray I wonder how that translates to K/sec?

BD burning and playback is brand new. It barely is even available and still very overpriced. I'm not sure if you are ripping on BD or the Mini, but it is hardly fair on either count. Show a little patience.
