I'm going to say that Bios has advantages over apple's EFI implementation.
First there are a number of PCs that use EFI
Secondly theres the ability to over-clock or alter the settings in the BIOS that you cannot touch in apple's EFI implementation. I have at my disposable a ridiculous wealth of customization settings at my fingertips with my core i7. You can leave it stock, or you can tweak it to your hearts content.
Actually, from your very first post, it shows a lot about you and your attitude. You started the thread with a chip on your shoulder and then seem surprised at the negative reactions that you justifiably received. If you don't like the responses, try a more mature approach.
Macs don't need "redeeming" for you or anyone. They are what they are. If you can't see any benefits to owning one, don't buy one! If you can't figure out what you need in a computer and how a Mac may or may not meet those needs, no amount of posting by strangers in a forum will help you. Figure out what you need a computer for. Figure out what features are important to you. Make a decision.
