I hope this is not too OT, but this thread got me curious, so I ran some speed tests on my MP 3.1 .

The SSDs have been in use since late 2011, never more than about 60% full .

The Blackmagic results are radically different from the AJA test's, very odd .
Maybe an OWC (or similar) thing, as mentioned above, and here ?

Those speeds our terrible!!

What a bummer.

Not if you look at the corresponding AJA results above the Blackmagic results, that's what baffels me .

Maybe the image isn't clear - the two screenshots on the left are of my 2x40GB/Raid0 system drive, the two on the right of my 60GB scratch disk ; top is AJA, bottom Blackmagic, 1GB test files each .

I ran a bunch of performance tests some time ago, mainly Photoshop and basic system stuff, and my SSDs deliver the expected improvements over my HDDs, even a 2x Velociraptor Raid0 (yes, she's getting old ;) ).

I'm obviously not an expert, and don't understand the difference between both test programs, but my SSDs perform according to what the AJA numbers suggest, the Blackmagic results are way off .
