Still got the Mini, but haven't used it since the Pro Arrived.

Just need to wait till i can get a bluetooth card for it, using an old wired Apple mouse and keyboard right now.

I use a D-Link DBT120 Bluetooth USB Dongle on my Mac Pro 1,1. It is Plug and play. You might consider that instead of getting the internal bluetooth card.

MacPro 1,1 issue

Would someone like to explain a throwaway statement made elsewhere in these forums?

Something about how the CPUs in a MacPro 1,1 can't work with each other efficiently? When do they start working with each other, the 3,1?

Not sure how justified that statement is. I own both a 1,1 and a 3,1 and both CPUs seem to work reasonably well together. I use iStat Menus on both machines to monitor loads, and the CPUs seem to distribute most loads across all 4/8 cores, respectively. I've noticed that older software doesn't often take advantage of all the cores, for example, my 1,1 had Leopard installed on it when I first acquired it, and watching a flash video in the Leopard Safari did not spread the load across all the cores as the newest version of Chrome does on my 3,1.

Those observations may not hold true for professional software, though. Anyone else have input on this?
