I have no idea, I don't know how you tried to access it from what you posted. The disk isn't defective, don't side step. is there any way to access the disc?
I said this in my first post,
I went to reinstall OC in my EFI folder, I forgot to place the Config file into the OC folder, then I blessed the BOOTx64.efi
when I shut down the computer and tried to load back into that hard drive it was missing.
The computer is fine I am on another hard drive, but the original drive is missing...
Is there any way you know of to access the EFI on the missing drive?

right now spending that 150$ doesn't look so bad.
Thanks for the help, was all I was asking. I said before I am no IT person and barely computer literate,If diskutil list don't show the disk and the partitions, you have a defective disk.
EFI partition is only accessible by the root user, so you have to mount the diskXXs1 with sudo.
For a new member to the forum, this is a bit blunt.....The disk isn't defective, don't side step. is there any way to access the disc?

You have come here for 'free' advice from noleagable people.
Your question is projected as though tsialex is your personal tech support.
People have a lot of respect for the helpful people on these forums.
Mark is it....
Mark, Thanks for chiming in, I don't know what you expected to gain by your post, but it is having the opposite effect.
Blunt, yeah I am blunt, that is the way I am built, ... you will get no apology from me for that.
I was thankful for the help provided... in fact did you read my post just above your diatribe? Try doing that.
In fact I have thanked Alex multiple times through out this thread. have you been reading this thread?
Mark, did you ever consider the fact that I may have been freaking out? Seeing how I just lost my freakin hard-drive? with all my information on it? No you probably didn't get that far.
Did you actually read the post #24?
Better yet read post #25 and imagine I'm freaking out because all of my passwords and links and files and daughters baby pictures, my wedding pictures my banking information is on that Disk ....Mark
Did you read my O.P Mark? it didn't have anything to do with OC ..... At All
read post #3 and post #4 Mark, I was going to go with something other than OpenCore, but was "asked" to follow another path.... MARK.

Maybe I was expecting a better answer from someone who is tied to OC than. . . .
"I have no idea, seems you have a defective disk." (end post)
in the heat of the moment, it sounded like one of those replies you get from tech support when everyone passes the buck..... So if my post seemed a little "BLUNT" to you, so be it.
As far as being a Newbee in this forum... dude, I probably registered here before back in 1998 when I got my little blue imac, New has nothing to do with it, I am on dozens of forums, help start a few, been a moderator and have had 3 UVboards of my own. . . . so save it for someone else chief.
My appreciation for help in this thread is fully documented, Mark.
anything else you wish to add?

So like, did you not realize that mark wasn’t talking about you? There’s another member in this thread that he had quoted to make the reply that you believe was a personal attack against you. Slow down take a breath and read carefully.
Anyways with some patience you should be able to get OpenCore running as you want it to.
