Hello,

I have two Mac Pro 5.1 (2010) and have 2 problem.

First Computer: It doesn't boot, no fans, no chime, no white led in front. When I turn it on, only Graphics card works and some red leds... There is a 'tik tik tik' voice coming from Power supply

Second computer: I put tray of this computer to the first computer. Tried to open but result was the same. So I put the tray back to this computer. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM: Now this computer stays in black screen and doesn't boot. No chime but no any red light, everything seems stable. However I can't do SMC, when I press long, nothing happens. I tried the tray of the first computer, everything is the same. What king of damage can first computer do to my second computer?

Note: I tried to check pins and everything seemed OK. Also I changed processors but it didn't help.
Note: I put a this tray to second cpu, it works.. But when I put my both trays in the third cpu, it stays black.

First computer:
No boot, no chime, no fans, no white led in front
Gpu fans working, red lights turned on, tik tik voice from power supply

Second computer:
Everything was ok before I put its tray into the first one. When I put another tray inside, everything is ok.
Now: When I turn on, everything works normal, but no chime and black screen. Also no SMC. When I put trays on a third cpu, also same like second cpu.

Can a computer kill tray in only 5 seconds? I didn't get how my second computer tray is damaged or dead

Yes, a bad computer can kill good components if the power supply spits out wrong voltages.

triple check the backplane connector pins going to the cpu tray, take photos with a good camera.

always unplug mains when swapping cpu trays.

all Mac Pros are 5.1 or have at least the 5.1 Firmware?

From your description, highly likely your 1st cMP's PSU is failed (that click click click sound).

And "failed" no necessary means "no power", but can be "unable to control power".

Let's say your PSU pump too much power to the tray, then it can kill the 2nd tray. 5s for over power is way too long already. It only need a split second to kill an electronic device.

However, once you talked about 3rd CPU, I am completely confused.

Please name your cMP, CPU properly (e.g. cMP A, cMP B, CPU A, CPU B, CPU C...)

And list out what combination you tested, and what's the result. It's super hard to follow what you've done. You put too many variables in a single post.

if that's fired, you have to check all electronic devices on the tray one by one, and replace all damaged items.
