The 9600m GT might be able to run fun at lower resolution but he wants to play at 1920x1200.

I run it with the settings I mentioned at 1440 x 900

The basic Mac pro has a gpu faster than the 9600 I believe?

The GT120 is based on the 9500 so it isn't.

I recommend the ATI 4870 for gaming issues.
It is fast enough and cheaper than a GTX285.

With the 4870 I can play both MW and MW2 with all details on max and full anti-aliasing on 2560x1600. System is Windows 7 64bit.

Call of Duty is meant to be played at 60 fps...

for some portable gaming i feel 25-30fps is perfectly fine. i have a tower as noted above.

2008 Mac Pro 2x2.8 Xeon - 4 GIG ram (doesn't matter 2 or 4 same performance) 8800GT 512mb / Windows 7 64bit

MW and MW2 run full speed 80+ fps with full settings native resolution of 1900blahblah 16:10 (and anti aliasing set to 12x instead of the in game maximum 4x)

So yeah, no problem.
