What device(s) do you use along with your MacPro, such as a notebook, tablet, or smart phone?

How much time do you spend on each?

------------

11" MacBook Air - 70%
Mac Pro - 20%
iPhone/iPad - 10%

The little Air gets a surprising amount of use ... it goes everywhere with me, I don't like to work from a desk

That's my dream setup for now!

The 11 inch air was my second machine but over time the air has moved to my primary machine. Apparently I don't stress it out much because its fast all the time so it ended up being my primary machine. I may get another 13 if there is some kind of redesign besides a spec change.

I know I'm sort of butting in (I don't own a Mac Pro), but my sidekick when I'm not using my 27" iMac (late 2009 Core 2 Duo) is my iPad 16GB with 3G. Never used the 3G and bought it like 6 months ago.

In addition to my 2009 Mac Pro, I use a 2010 MacBook Pro (10%), iPad (20%) iPhone 4 (30%), Mac Pro (40%).

I was interested in getting a MacBook Air at one point, but I think the iPad took care of that... The MacBook Pro rarely leaves the house... Maybe I should think about trading the iPad in for an Air?

I currently have an early 2008 MBP that I am starting to think of getting rid of.

Its replacement will either be a first gen ipad if I don't need any features on the 2nd gen or a new MBA or MBP. Found I really don't use the MBP except around the house and an ipad would be perfect.

I also have an iPhone 4.

I use a macbook pro whenever I need to work at a clients office where they don't have an edit station. It usually sit in my living room.

I have my iphone 3gs which I only ever use when I am on the train or bus or for, you know, phone calls.

And I have an ipad when I go to a clients that HAVE an edit system but I don't feel like logging into 4 different webmail accounts. But I tend to use it mostly on the couch, in bed or on longer commuter train trips.

2009 3.06 ghz Macbook Pro is my personal laptop, I've also got an i7 HP Elitebook from work (why they gave the iPhone/Mac programmer an HP I will never understand. Something about everyone needing a machine with Outlook.) Obviously I'm almost always using my Macbook Pro when I'm not at my Mac Pro.

I've also got a set of iPhones and an iPad. Most of my iPad use is for controlling my home theater.

Mine is my 15" MBP that I got about a year and a half ago. Use it for quick renders, VNC, SSH, just the normal stuff :)

iPad; used about 30% of the time. My mac mini is my htpc, it rarely gets used.

Mac Pro and iPod Touch... use the Mac Pro pretty much all the time when at home - my butt is planted in front of these three screens after I wake up, and before I sleep, heheh. Use the Touch whenever I'm on the treadmill for an hour.

At work, the iPod Touch comes with me naturally - of course, the Mac Pro can't :p but I don't use a Mac at work anyway.

Mine is an ASUS 1015-PEM dual core atom machine. I stuck a 40GB Intel G2 SSD and 2GB of RAM in it.

I'll probably sell it once the 15" mbp sandy bridges drop (probably*get the base model).

Sony Laptops Are Pretty Good.

I have a Sony VGN-Z48GD with Windows 7 x64 Ultimate. Has been one of the most reliable machines in my toolkit. Very light. Very powerful.

Mac pro 80%
iPad 15%
iPhone 5%

Something like that any way. Mac pro was allot of money for me so I am always using it to get that use out of it.

Got an IBM T43 Thinkpad that's still going strong. It came with the X300 gpu with 128mb. Very happy with it as it is tough as nails No problems yet.

So many iDevices in this thread...

80% Mac Pro (dual boot OSX+Win7)
20% HTC Droid Incredible

I used to have a Latitude D600 running WinXP but it died a horrible death 6 months ago. At work I use an assortment of Windows machines.

Mac Pro Nehalem 2.93 GHz 8-core - Intel-Coding, 3d-Modeling, Music, Video - 95 %.

PowerMac G5 2.0 GHz 2-core - PowerPC-Coding, Classic Stuff - 5 %.
