Estimated September 19th ship date, arrival on the 21st here though I wish it was much sooner of course.

Wouldn't it be horrible if Apple had a warehouse of X1900s just sitting around gathering dust? They just want more money, so they're hoping people will just order their MacPros now and pay $50 more to get the X1900 later or better yet, spring over $1000 more just to get the 4500? LOL Ah, now I see how conspiracy theories are born... but then again, who really knows right? :D

I placed my order the day they were announced. I am still looking at a ship date of 9/12. This, of course, is due to the x1900xt I ordered!

Other items - Added bluetooth and dropped HD to 160 GB.

I sure hope it ships sooner!!

I just spoke to my Apple dealer, and he said the holdup was the bluetooth module.
He also said that my 'estimated ship date' had been moved up to the 7th of Sept.
System is configured as 3GHz, 4GB, BT/AP, ati1900.

 ship date of September 7th.... With the X1900?!?!?!?!??!?!

Does that mean mine could ship by the 7th, even though it's estimated ship date is the 20th right now?

You're focusing on the negative, Padawan. Keep your focus where it belongs.

They will ship much sooner than expected.

Like I said, it's an 'estimated' shipping date, if mine ships out by then (I ordered same day as the announcement) no reason yours can't ship by then. Why Apple doesn't have a stock of bluetooth modules I'll never understand...

I have a "Day 1" Mac Pro that was shipped to my local apple store, Fedex Express, on 8/7. I got stock everything, then did my own upgrades.

Only Apple video cards will work - which is a shame because there are so many good ones out there.

I do like the fanless 7300GT, so I've stopped searching for an upgrade to video.

:)

P.S. Burn in your Pros for 72 hours (set energy saver to off). You will get lots of extra miles out of this common sense procedure!

My situation is not covered by any of the poll options. My Mac Pro has shipped but has not yet arrived. Can't wait!

People let their desktop systems goto sleep?
Mine stay up all the time, only my wife's powerbook ever goes to sleep.

Well, we all know that the estimated ship dates are irrelevant, since it's not a real informed estimate but just your order date plus a month and five days. Same for everybody, and it's pretty much out of the question that they're going to go at such slow a pace when they're able to ship them all out as quickly as they can. I'm expecting my X1900 XT in early September.

The Apple rep I called said that they might ship as early as the 30th.

I'm guessing this is to "set" the thermal paste?

Ordered: Sunday 20th August.
Estimated shipping: Monday 25 September.
Estimated delivery: Wednesday 27 September.

Only a month and a day to go! Still, it gives me time to order some more hard drives and organize my desk ready for the new baby's arrival.

Ordered my ATI/BT+Airport Mac Pro on the 7th... Estimated shipped by the 12th.

Estimate of when I'll lose my sanity: Within 72 hours.

Apple rep I contacted said they might ship as early as the 30th. Don't take estimated ship seriously, for the ATI cards it's just a your order date + a month and five days for everybody who ordered.

Hmm...stuff like that gets me excited. :) How confident was the rep?

For a while, my ship date with Airport and BT was the 31st. It's been put back now, but I'm guessing that it may be a face saving measure incase they can't get them all out the door in time. I'm expecting they'll ship around then, or not long after - when I called to asked, the after-sales guy said "I'd be very, very surprised if you were left waiting that long."

So, in short: I'd guess around the turn of the month, with estimates showing otherwise "just in case".

Is that for real??? I'm not sure I knowingly have done it, but when I got my G5 I had a project to do, so it ran for days. I kinda thought at the time that was bad for it... like reving a new car to high, to soon.

Ordered it on the 18th, shipping on the 18th (4 weeks later). The Bluetooth+Airport module delayed it 2-3 weeks and the X1900 XT delayed it 3-4 weeks according to the est. shipping thing on the BTO page.

Purchased mine 24 Aug estimated ship 21 Sep with ATI and Airport/BT. My dual 30" monitors are slated to arrive on Monday. I sure hope everyone is right and the computer ships sooner than later ... otherwise I'll go insane staring at those two monitors with no Mac Pro to run them :D

Can someone explain this to me more? (feel free to PM so as to keep this on-topic) I have heard both sides of the debate of burning in headphones ... but never of burning in a computer. Is this really beneficial?
