@pierre1610

I got my Photoshop SW, here are the results with Mac Studio M1 Ultra

Seems a lot faster than my 2019 Mac Pro, at over 3 times the price.

oh boy, M1 Max MacBook Pro 16.2 from last year clocked a bit faster still.

I saw a YouTube video where a guy had noticeable build up of dust after 1-2 months.

I'm interested in your HEPA filter idea!

Where was the dust? Did the person open up the Mac Studio and saw dust accumulating inside?

@Slartibart @StuAff
How about now?

BTW, are any of you elevating the Mac Studio on something for better cooling?
This is a great solution for better airflow. I moved it below my desk and you can see it should collect less dust ast its covered and the air underneath is completely un obstructed.

Unfortunately i don't have a 3d printer, but i might just get down to creating a prototype for it, that was made by a friend of mine after I gave him the general idea, so under the filter i'll stick a usb 140mm case fan, and in between a usb fan controller, I also wanted to have some room between the heap filter and the base of the studio, so I can stick a couple of tb3-tb4 drives in there for cooling.
Obviously having read that the fans don't spin up in the studio, my basic need is to feed clean air in the machine.
It still needs work...

I just got a Mac Studio Ultra with Mac Studio Ultra 20 with 48Core GPU, 64GB Ram og 1Tb SSD.
I thought it had 8 memory banks as it's 2 M1 Max's put together, but both iStat Menus and TG Pro says it only has 4 memory banks of 16Gb each. Not 8 with 8 Gb each, as the 32 Gb Max version has!

Thanks for that. What does it get in the diglloydHuge test?

Just seen your post about the M1 MBP Max, its crazy its faster.

Mac Studio with M1 Ultra = 4.44
MBP16.2 with M1 Max = 4.24

The software is likely not optimized for the M1 Ultra chipset as yet.

I ran this for you:
runDiglloydBenchmark-v4_2_3.app

Send me the link for this other test and I will run that
Its the same download, just type "huge" in at the prompt as attached

huge

2 iterations as 20 took too long

2019 Mac Pro 14 of 28 cores (i have to run CAD on Parallels Desktop while doing this for you) = 34.25
2021 MBP 16.2 M1Max 10 cores = 26.82
2022 Mac Studio M1Ultra 20 cores = 28.45
