2GB is fine. After 6 months, when you update MAC OS lion, then who knows. But, 2GB is fine as it is. Based on what I heard, you are fine. Mac OS lion?

Maybe or maybe not.

Your wife just gave you 2 GB in a beautiful MBA package because she wanted to make you happy.

Love her for that and say "thank you" instead of returning a wonderful gift because of some stupid tech specs.

Save the $100 for the upgrade and buy her something nice.

Merry Christmas.

PS: using a Rev C and finding my way around 2GB even with virtualization.

hummmm

Go for the 4G. no doubts.

Memory is very important... even for "normal" users.... Lion is coming and you will regret... 90$ is more than fair.

There is NOTHING that indicates that Lion will have higher spec requirements that Snow Leopard. Quite the opposite, if apps in the background saves their stats like in iOS, they will free their ram and thus Lion could have LOWER spec requirements.

I would say it doesn't matter, unless you're doing something like VMWare, Photoshop, or medial related on a consistent basis...

If not, keep what you have and be happy!

Keep it, it's a gift from your wigs. For my main pc, I have a i7 920 with 20gb foe video editing but I use my netbook otherwise all fine, I'm getting an air and will be really excited. I'm going to sell it in the summer, no harm nO foul.

I opted for the 4gb because I run virtual machines. I also intend to be using this as a primary machine for a good couple of years.
